  1. I hate protein shakes. I hate them in the rain, I hate them on a train. I hate them in the sun and perhaps they would be better with rum?
  2. I had my sleeve done on Monday 6/4/18. In the hospital I needed an extra long phone charger cord, comfy skid proof slippers, and I wish I had brought my pillow from home. I wore a sports bra home the next day and really have just lived in very comfortable loose fitting T-shirts since. Keep a water cup by your side, I underestimated how hard getting water in is. Protein is the next challenge for me. Good luck to you!!!! And stay hydrated ??
  3. I’m on the other side this evening, too. I’ve been sleeping pretty much all day, I feel exhausted. I, too, am taking what’s offered pain wise. Gas pain has just reared it head for me. I’ll be going for my 2nd walk here shortly to get more of it moving and out. I’ve felt moderately nauseous and puked once. I’ll be happy to get home tomorrow! How are the rest of our June 4th folks doing?
  4. It’s here!!! June 4!!!! I’m at the hospital now and waiting to check in. Best wishes and good luck surgery twins!!!!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️
  5. May the Fourth be with you, too!!! I’m on all clear liquids tomorrow and now that I’m HOURS away from surgery the anxiety is kicking in. I’ll be so glad to be on the other side with all of you!
  6. I’m June 4th but, also diabetic and have neuropathy in my feet. I’m with you, I’m absolutely having thus gastric sleeve surgery to save my life!
  7. I have surgery Monday and I’m the Grinch that Wanted to Eat Everything. I absolutely don’t want another protein shake and Monday can’t get here fast enough. Holy crow this is hard when we do still have the ability to eat more than we should. Ugh! Hang in there everyone!
  8. How can I get this thread to not show up in my timeline or trending feeds? I’m tired of seeing this
  9. So.. you needed to tell all of us not to wish you well in any personal way we would. Noted. If you don’t want support in the way folks would offer it, don’t use a support forum. Just go Google your issues and keep your negative boogers to yourself. Be well, Dear Atheist.
  10. June 4th surgery here! Been on liquid diet since May 21st and I’m soooo over it. I’m ready for next Monday to be here! I’ve got my Magic Bullet ready for purée phase, serving plates with portion sizes, and probably 19 other things I still need to get lol ? @lisajayne I’m not nauseous but, I have really bad diarrhea. I’m not really sure which is worse.
  11. I can’t wait for that! It’s so demoralizing having my tummy brush the steering wheel. C’mon June 4..
  12. I tried Bariatric Advantage which was the worst! I used Powder with Almond milk, water, or nonfat lactose free milk. I’m on Premier Protein premades and powder using the same variety of liquid for mixing the powder. Which is less awful but, still not so fun. I’m allowed now to eat one plain serving of Greek yogurt everyday to help and I still have an issue. I’m basically living on Imodium and praying for June 4 to get here quick so I can end this madness.
  13. This liquid diet is ridiculously difficult for me. My blood sugars are jacked up and I just wanna eat alllll the things. I’ve cheated the last couple days. Yesterday I ate some romaine lettuce and chicken and did the same today. Oh, and I’ve had coffee all week. I’m super blowin it
  14. So.. super TMI but, I’m at a loss here. Im on day 4 of my pre-op diet. I have 10 days to go. I get 3 protein shakes a day plus as much clear sugar free liquid and broth as I can stand. I did this diet before for 11 days before I had to reschedule my original surgery date. My problem here is that I have the worst diarrhea I have ever had in my entire life during this diet. I suspect the whey in the shakes and want to know if anyone else had/has this issue? My nutritionist had me switch shakes and same results. Any ideas?
  15. I’m June 4th, too. On my second day of the long 14 day liquid pre-op diet. Do you have a pre-op diet plan? I’m trying to keep myself busy so I don’t go nuts with cravings. I do have some anxiety about getting sleeved, not the surgery really just what life is going to look like after this huge step!
  16. I have PCOS also and I was wondering if I would have a slower slim down. Looks like that’s a yes. There’s really nothing on the Internet about this subject. I’m grateful for this forum
  17. Hello from Arizona! I’m new as of last night to this site. I start my 2 week pre-op diet tomorrow! My sleeve surgery is scheduled for June 4th. I missed my first surgery date because my back went out and I couldn’t walk. Here’s to 2nd chances at surgery and life! Cheers! ?♥️
  18. Congrats on your approval!!!! You may want to call the ins co and ask what the approval time frame is. Usually it's 90 days, but if you're worried I would call and make sure. Congrats again!
  19. I'm getting sleeved on June 4 as well! Lots of us summer sleevers! I, too, am eating all the foods. It's super ridiculous. I start my 2 week pre-op diet on Monday 5/21. This will be my second time. I was supposed to be sleeved on May 11 and my back went out 3 days before and I couldn't walk! So they rescheduled me. Blah! I feel like I am better prepared for the pre-op diet this time, though. I know my skin will dry out and my breath is gonna get stinky. The hunger headaches will be a real thing but, I am so ready for this surgery! It took me 15 years to make this decision and as odd as it sounds, I can't wait to have surgery! lol :-)
