  8. The doctor sent a request for me to get the compression device but I have to pay out of pocket almost $200 for it! It is a recommendation but not mandatory. How many believe it’s essential?
  9. That’s awesome!! I plan to to get to my goal of 135. I’m definitely a little worried about loose skin in my belly because I already have a pooch due to child birth!
  10. Do you have any advice on a specific diet and exercise? I know they say the lower the BMI the slower the weight drops off.
  11. Oh we we are close in size too. So yes I don’t mind keeping you updated. My doctor is Dr. Brian Long if the Nicholson Clinic. Dr. Nicholson is well known and all of his team including my doctor charge between $10-12k for self pay. If you have no health issues then it’s the $10k.
  12. I’m in Dallas! I have surgery on June 6th and I am self pay. My total is $10,000 all inclusive. Only thing not included is post op labs but that’s if I need them. But it includes surgeons fee, anesthesia, hospital fee, pre op labs and one year of follow up visits and nutritionist visits.

  16. I start my 14 day Pre Op diet this Wednesday. It includes 3-4 protein shakes or bars for all but one 500 calorie (lean instructed meal). Im nervous but this will be the start of my new life!!!
  17. Hey that’s still good! I guess we have to just look at it as any weight loss is progress and it’s smaller than what we were before!! Stay positive!! Your goal weight is closer than you think
  18. I have heard the weight loss is slower for lower BMIs!! Wanting to know when most of the weight was lost and how much have people lost so far? my surgery is coming close!!
  19. Haha same here! I’ll just say I cut down my portions! Which isn’t a lie lol I just won’t say it’s forced!!
  20. I’m not telling others either! Only 3 people know. My husband, friend whose mom had it and my best friends mom who is my vault lol!! It’s better the less people know.
