  1. Thank you for sharing! I’ve heard eggs a lot but I can not do soft boiled, how do you do yours?
  2. Thank you. I keep thinking that meat is not included in soft foods. Taco seasoned turkey sounds delicious!

  4. I am 17 days post op from surgery. Tuesday I should be switching to soft foods from liquids. I am just looking for suggestions or ideas. I do not like fish or seafood. Thanks in advance!!!
  5. Honestly, I do not know if they do for certain weights. I am 5’2” and was 223 at the initial appointment. The doctor just said I could start working out and losing weight ,he did not care how much, because they would use that weight for the insurance approval.

  16. Hope the paperwork is enough for you. I had the same situation. I didn’t have the visits but I had to have documentation of prior weight loss failed attempts and my doctors notes were not overly supportive. Thank musk they approved me because I was a pure mess when the nurse told me it didn’t look good.
  17. I’m the 24th, not the same but very close. Excited for you!
  18. That’s really great news! Good luck with your upcoming journey.

  20. I am so glad that I am not the only impatient one haha I kept checking for my approval online and as soon as it turned to approved, I immediately emailed the coordinating nurse and she got right on it. Happy for you and good luck with your journey!
  21. I am also having my surgery through Duke but doing the gastric bypass. I didn’t have any of the waiting or additional appointments most insurances require. As soon as I finished their checklist they scheduled me for surgery (May 24th) and it only took about a week for insurance to approve. I wish you luck in your journey!
  22. Thank you for sharing your experience! I’m also in NC [emoji846]

  25. I was just told that we will are not to use straws after surgery.
  26. Sorry you had to go through this. I just had my post op appointment on the 8th of May and they told me they will not take it out unless they see any issues when they go in to do my bypass. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
  27. Now that is an accomplishment! Congratulations on your success.
