Some Advice Please!
I drove two days after surgery. I’m the only one in my household that drives and softball season began! I never took any of the pain killers, Tylenol or the OxyContin. The pain for me wasnt that bad. That being said dizziness and light headed ness due to dehydration sneaks up on you! It’s also a bit uncomfortable to sit up and potholes in the road are the worse!

Any April surgery buddies
It’s totally head hunger. I swore I could eat but fortunately was talked out of it. Eating is really a habit and working on not eating at times you usually would sucks! At least to me. The end game is what’s important so hang in there!

Head Hunger is Real!
Kudos for not forcing it in and making yourself ill! I like to see the silver lining! Look at how far you’ve come! Congratulations!

Water, how I miss thee

Day four just left the hospital
Trail and error unfortunately but once you find some staples two weeks will fly by! Premier protein is pretty gentle on the system and easy (for me) to get down. I don’t like the isopure so much it’s pretty thick and rough for me but each tummy is personally sculpted!

Tomorrow makes a week
It sucks to be in an environment where you feel unsupported. It’s a major reason for many addictive relapses, not just food. You have to use self care practices and while it may seem to them selfish it’s ok.....they are!....and you are worthy of having a say and choice in what you want in your life. I would suggest for the time being to eat separately. Stick to your Bariatric schedule and drink your meals when your supposed to. When they are settling down to eat take this opportunity to leave, take a walk, journal or scrapbook in your room, walk or brush your pet. Something repetitive that can be done nightly with a purpose of self care for yourself.

Water, how I miss thee
Pre surgery I was a really big water drinker! I was hoping to hydrate my 64oz post op on that but tiny tummy hates it! It burns like acid. Have to make it into decaf tea or crystal light. Anyone else not able to take plain water? Does it get better soon?

Stomach Issues
I don’t get nauseous or churning/uneasy stomach it’s literally just noises. Really loud gurgling noises. I’m only a few days out so I’m still adjusting but I’m grateful for the lack of nausea
