  4. I have nothing to add, but wanted to say that I'm in Houston too and I wish you all the best!! If it is any consolation, I have a friend that was sleeved and her surgeon didn't require her to do a pre-op liquid diet at all. Her procedure went just fine. Good luck!
  5. Adding my bit....I have UHC Choice Plus. The only requirement noted in my specific plan is a BMI of 35+ w/two comorbidities or 40+ without. I don't have to use the bariatric resources or undergo a supervised weight loss plan for any duration of time. From what I've noticed from other posts, it seems the nuances of your specific coverage is really driven by your employer. That said, I still have to complete a number of pre-approval things that my surgeon required; you know, the standard stuff that everyone else seems to be doing like psych eval, nutrition consult, and GI imaging.

  7. From the time your case was submitted, approximately how long did it take for UHC to respond with your approval? I'm not talking about the whole process, like from your first consult, just only from the time that your information was submitted. That is, if you got approved on the first try.[emoji4]
