  5. During my pre-op phase, there were always temptations...cookies, cakes, doughnuts, fried chicken and I could go on. I asked four of my friends to each commit to joining me for two days of liquids. They motivated me and it comforted me knowing I wasn't alone. Hang in there guys, you're doing great. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. [emoji4] Sleeved on April 25, 2018 HW: 258 SW: 238 CW: 219 GW: 165
  6. Congratulations. Sleeved on April 25, 2018 HW: 258 SW: 238 CW: 219 GW: 165
  7. I went to my PCP foor blood work and the chest x-ray. Afterwards, she cleared me for surgery. Sleeved on April 25, 2018 HW: 258 SW: 238 CW: 219 GW: 165
  8. Most of us have been there. Get back on track and post here as often as you can to relieve stress. Sleeved on April 25, 2018 HW: 258 SW: 238 CW: 219 GW: 165
  9. Best of luck Sleeved on April 25, 2018 HW: 258 SW: 238 CW: 219 GW: 165
  10. Hang in there! I could've gone back in a week, but I took two weeks off to make sure I felt my best. Good luck Sleeved on April 25, 2018 HW: 258 SW: 238 CW: 219 GW: 165
  11. Yes! Keep up the good work! Sleeved on April 25, 2018 HW: 258 SW: 238 CW: 219 GW: 165
  12. Mostly, the liquid diet is to shrink your liver for surgery. You don't want to get there and they have difficulty reaching your stomach. When I found this out, it made me not want to cheat. Sleeved on April 25, 2018 HW: 258 SW: 238 CW: 219 GW: 165
  13. The pre op diet is harder than recovering from surgery. It's all mental... hang in there and the outcome will be wonderful. Sleeved on April 25, 2018 HW: 258 SW: 238 CW: 219 GW: 165
  14. Sorry...[emoji57] Sleeved on April 25, 2018 HW: 258 SW: 238 CW: 220 GW: 165
  15. As soon as you can, begin walking. It will help with the gas pains. Don't compare your weight loss to others, everyone is different. If you can, take Biotene with you to help with dry mouth. Good luck. Sleeved on April 25, 2018 HW: 258 SW: 238 CW: 220 GW: 165
  16. Thanks everyone Sleeved on April 25, 2018 HW: 258 SW: 238 CW: 220 GW: 165
  17. So I had my six week checkup yesterday and I've lost a total of 38 pounds from when I first started this journey. He said not to compare my weight loss with anyone else and I'm right on track. I feel great and so happy I finally made the decision to have surgery. Sleeved on April 25, 2018 HW: 258 SW: 238 CW: 221 GW: 165
  18. Good job... you need Biotene. It relieves dry mouth. Walk to get rid of those gas pains Sleeved on April 25, 2018 HW: 258 SW: 238 CW: 221 GW: 165
  19. I was off two and a half weeks also a d was ready to go back! Sleeved on April 25, 2018 HW: 258 SW: 238 CW: 221 GW: 165
  20. The liquid phase is harder than recovering from surgery. You have to be determined to get through it. It's all mental. When I was on that phase, I kept a bottle of water with me at all times. When the "food" urge hit, I'd take a walk and think about how I'd be able to shop for smaller clothes and how I'd feel without the extra weight. Sleeved on April 25, 2018 HW: 258 SW: 238 CW: 221 GW: 165
  21. Thank you. Someone did it for me and I promised I would pay it forward [emoji4] Sleeved on April 25, 2018 HW: 258 SW: 238 CW: 221 GW: 165
  22. Thanks but someone beat you to it. Good luck on your upcoming surgery. Sleeved on April 25, 2018 HW: 258 SW: 238 CW: 221 GW: 165
  23. When I tried sleeping in my bed, those gas pains were horrible. In the hospital, I had a large recliner that I wanted to take home with me [emoji4] Sleeved on April 25, 2018 HW: 258 SW: 238 CW: 221 GW: 165
  24. I was up walking every 15-30 minutes. I took walks outside and inside. I also slept upright for the first two weeks Sleeved on April 25, 2018 HW: 258 SW: 238 CW: 221 GW: 165
  25. Walk, walk, walk! This will help get rid of the gas. It takes about a week before it's gone. Hang in there Sleeved on April 25, 2018 HW: 258 SW: 238 CW: 221 GW: 165
