Any February Sleevers?
I'm super excited and happy! My doctor gave me the all clear. I'm waiting for the surgery scheduler to call me. The doctor is very certain she can get me in before the end of February. She assured me that I'll be on the 2 day pre-op liquid diet. This year long journey is finally seeing the gold ribbon at the end! I am so ready to begin the next life long journey.

6 months 101 lbs down w/pics
I've noticed that the post-post-op diet (that's how I think about the way after LOL) is like a keto or whole30 diet. Which is great. I followed whole30 for about 60 days a few years ago and found it very helpful. Did you notice that your tastebuds changed after surgery? Many of the people that I have talked with post-op (my mom, friends, co-workers) have said that as time has gone on they find themselves craving different things like shrimp, crab, various other proteins, instead of sugars and carbs.

Any February Sleevers?
Did everyone get their approval letter sent to them? Or is it sent to the doctor and your doctor gave you the news? I'm fairly certain that my decision appointment on the 5th is when I find out if I was approved or not.

Surgery improve PCOS?
It was 6 appointments. I think because I took 6 months off they would like to see me once more. Also, my surgeon had a baby so I didn't get to see her for 4 out of my 6 appointments (I saw her PA).

Surgery improve PCOS?
That's great! I did the 6 month diet and then I requested to pause for a few months for personal reasons. Now I'm back on track and have my final decision one day before my year anniversary :-) I'm excited to not have acne from PCOS anymore! LOL

Any February Sleevers?
After a year long journey, I have my final decision appointment on Monday, February 5th. I started this journey February 6, 2017 so it's kind of neat. I'm hoping after this appointment I can have the surgery before the end of February.

Surgery improve PCOS?
My gynecologist and surgeon both said this as well. My gynecologist team is actually the ones that recommended me to my weight loss team due to all of my medical issues/female medical issues. What my surgeon said is that many hormones rest in the bottom part of the stomach so by removing this it helps the body, in a way, reset itself. I know many ladies who have had weight loss surgery and their PCOS symptoms went away and were able to be pregnant within 2 years when they couldn't before.

WOW! You look incredibly healthy! I saw in previous replies that you stick to a lot of protein and veggies as well as weight training. Your arms look fabulous and strong! When did you start the weight training part of your journey?
