  1. I buy them from the Bariatricpal store.
  2. I didn't at first I just started with the calcium patch because I was trying to take my pills but after a month I couldn't take all the pills so I switch to the bypass bundle. Way easier to just wear 4 patches a day. Lol
  3. All of my patches come from Patch MD but I buy them from the Bariatricpal store here. Its the Iron plus.
  4. I love my patches! At my 3 month appt all my labs came back great and my Nut and Dr. were very happy. I have a Multi patch, D3, Iron and B12.
  5. I almost had to do the same thing, I did Miralax and nothing, stool softener and nothing so I started drinking a cup of Smooth Move tea every night and it is not my miracle drink. I havent had any issues since week 2 and I am now 4 months out.
  6. I just ordered the pills because mine are so bad I feel like I can peel paint off the wall. Fingers crossed they work.
  7. HW - 228 SW - 202 3 months - 170 so I am 32 at 3 months and 58 overall. I have struggled with getting my protien in and so I have had several stalls but I am ok with it because I am feeling 100% better than I have in years. Everyone is different and my doctor says as long as you are loosing something its better than nothing. Keep up the good work.
  8. I was having the same problem with my water. I took alot longer to add food in because when I tried I got sick so my NUT said to just keep doing the shakes until my stomach was ready so first thing in the morning my husband would bring me a 20oz Yeti full of water ( I use to drink crystal light before my surgery than hated it after but I found diet, decaffeinated lipton cold tea mix) I would drink 5 sips than waited 20 min and i would have 4 oz of a protien shake and 30 min later I would have more water and then 2 hrs later I would have another 4 oz shake and I did this all day long and when I really started counting 5 - 4 oz shakes ( 20 oz ) and 2 20 oz of water than the next day I would add 4-5 more oz of water and add everyday after that. I was on liquids for 4 weeks and then slowly replaced a shake with soup, yogurt, cottage cheese and then week 6 I would add alittle more. I am now 3 months out and I am doing alot better and I now get atleast 4 20oz of water in a day. It will get better I promise.
  9. I had my RNY on 12/28 and this week I have been feeling the same way. My NUT suggested I go back on shakes so I was able to do 3 4oz shakes today and it took me about a hr each time. It was the first day I havent felt like I was going to throw up. Everyone I talked to said it passes so I am keeping my fingers crossed that it does.
  10. I am on week 7 and I was feeling the same way and on my 4th week my friend suggested I get the B12 with energy patch from this site and man did it make a huge difference. I have more energy, staying up longer, waking up with no problem and just tons of energy. My sister is a skinny school teacher and she is always tired so I gave her a weeks worth of patches and after day 2 she was also surprised at how much of a differance it makes... I promise this isnt a sales pitch it just really is a great product.
  11. I had the same thing happen around the same time, sometimes it was so bad it would take my breath away. I had to wear my belly band all the time just to help control the pain. Several people i talked to said it was the inside healing and that it would stop around 3-4 weeks and sure enough the middle of week 4 I woke up and no pain and havent had any pain since then.
  12. I have to eat out alot do to my travel schedule and this may sound silly but it works for me, I have a tiny glass bowl that I would put on my food scale and add food and most on the time it was between 3-4 oz so I take the bowl with me everywhere and I just transfer the food from my plate to the bowl and I dont eat anymore than that. As far as the wine goes I say DON'T, not only can the sugar amounts be higher than what you can do but you will get drunk very fast than sober but still feel drunk. I havent had a glass yet as I am only 6 weeks out but 2 of my friends did at 3 months and said it was awful. The last thing you want to do is be sick on Valentines day.
  13. I couldnt take the calcium chew so I ordered the calcium patch on this site and they have been amazing, I also bought the b12 energy one. I just stick them both on my side in the morning. I had to switch to a gummie for my multi and I just let it melt in my mouth before i chew the rest and I havent had any problems with them.
  14. At 3 weeks I was allowed fresh fruit with no skin so mainly bananas, strawberry’s, blackberries and raspberries. No melons or citrus. And he said no salad for 3-6 months, because it will fill you up but just go thru you to quick. I am counting down the days until I can have a salad.
  15. I am almost 6 weeks out of my RNY and I am scared to eat very much. I am not hungry so I feel like I have to remind myself to eat something. I only eat 2-3 oz of food at a time and only about 3-4 times a day. I still am doing soft foods and I am really scared to eat anything else. What amount of food do most people eat at this stage and what are you eating. My husband laughs at me because I take my tiny bowl and tiny spoon with me everywhere.
  16. After my RNY on 12/28 and after that I can only do Lactose Free milk, I tried eggs last week and again this week and it was a total no go. I started taking Papaya Enzyme about 4 weeks before my surgury and that has helped but I now also take 1 gas ex every night both are chewable. I eat alot of cottage cheese, low fat refried black beans and tuna. I am trying what my Dr. says and just try 1 new food everyday and see how it sits with me. Yesterday mushed carrots didnt work out but today greek yogurt was good. It will get better
  17. I am not a sweet person and my doctor said no mashed potatoes, grits or oatmeal so I was having the same problem, someone on here recomended a recipe and I lived on it for several days and it was a lifesaver. 1 can refried beans ( i like black beans) 2 TBLS Chicken broth Low Sodium Taco Seasoning Can Diced Chicken in water ( my Dr. said it was moist so good for soft food) Cook and Mix it all togther in pot. You can add some cheese if you want. 'Hope this helps.
  18. I am 4 weeks out and I am dying for hot tea, Can we have Splenda? If not then is there something else we can have? Thank you.
  19. Congratulations on your success. Where in NZ are you? My daughter was a dancer in Christchurch and my son lives in Tauranga. I love NZ
  20. I am 3 weeks out and I am having the hardest time getting my protein and water in. Today I only had 2 4oz shakes, 2 oz cottage cheese and 2 oz grits. and 24 oz of water. I have tried but i get so full and it takes me 30 min just to get my shakes down. I am not hungry and so I dont have the desire to eat at all. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you
  21. We had a change in insurance mid year and I had to start all my check ups again but I didn't have to re-do any of the medical test. I only had to do a 3 year weight history and since I didn't have it because we moved 2 yrs ago and I havent seen a doctor I just had to write a letter and send 3 yrs of pictures to show the weight gain. Hang in there it is so worth it.
  22. I am 3 weeks out today and over the last week I have been having really sharp pains on my right side and my back has been really hurting. I was around and it helps but than comes back. Sometimes its so bad i can't even move. I havent been hungry at all so I am having a hard time getting all my shakes in and per my doctors orders today is the first day to try soft foods but I am scared to try. Has anyone had this problem.
  23. I am 3 weeks out and I still have a sharp pain on my right side, Its not all the time but when it happens it can almost bring me to my knees. I was hopeing it would be better by now.
