  3. I was sleeved May 23rd and am down 43 lbs and feel good but for some reason I feel like it should be more.. I get discouraged and still feel so heavy, but I know that 43 pounds in 3 months is amazing and reading all your post makes me see how amazing your all doing as well.. thanks everyone for sharing and inspiring.

  5. Today I am exactly one month post op and I have lost a total of 28 pounds I feel great. I struggle eating but managing to get my calories in as directed. My biggest issue is protein, because I can’t stand the protein drinks anymore and with the small amounts of food I can eat I worry it’s not enough. Any suggestions on alternative ways to get my protein in would be greatly appreciated. Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend ?

  11. Surgery tomorrow and I’m overwhelmed with emotions. Praying everything goes as planned, my doctor told me that I was one of his healthiest patients besides the obesity so I’m taking that as a good sign. Here’s to the journey ahead?

  14. So I was approved for surgery on 5/17 yesterday and received my surgery date today and it is next Wednesday I am so happy that I have made it to this point and so excited for the journey ahead. I am also very nervous now ... cannot believe that it is happening next week. Ill keep everyone posted.

  17. I feel like I have been waiting forever .... Thanks for the reply.
  18. I had my final NUT appointment Friday the 27th and all other requirements have been completed, but my doctor office says it could take them 2 weeks before they submit to insurance. I am so disappointed! I have passed all test and evaluations with flying colors, I have the clearance from my primary doctor stating that I am an excellent candidate for the surgery and I am healthy enough to have the surgery. I don't understand why the clinic will take that long to submit to insurance.....I have waited so long already and thought they submit to insurance right away. Anyone else had this happen? Is this typical?
  19. I am with you. I will have my last nut appointment next week and then they will submit everything... I am so nervous that something will go wrong and I will be denied. I think it natural to worry.

  22. Does anyone from the Boise area have any idea if the St Lukes Bariatric doctors have certain days they do surgeries and certain days they are in clinic? I am wondering if Dr Valentine has a schedule. I will be having surgery the end of May and was hoping that I could have it on a Monday or Tuesday, but someone told me that certain doctors have certain days they schedule surgeries on and that my doctor usually does them on Thursdays and Fridays

  28. I just don't see where it even says if you do gain weight during your 4 months nutritional appointments that they deny you I know that Blue Cross Blue Shield will but I don't see anywhere where Cigna says that they do that it's not that I plan on gaining weight that's the last thing I want to do it just does make me nervous because like you said water weight stress I just get so worried about stuff like that does anybody know if Cigna does actually deny you for weight gain? 31. Does anyone in idaho or with this insurance know how hard it is to get the approval after the required nutrien appointments are complete, the psychological eval is done, the doctor referral is done, and the upper GI is complete? I looked through my plan and I'm basically a gold star candidate... I just get so nervous about being denied at the end. I'm nervous I'll gain weight during the 90 days of required nutrian appointments and get denied any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.
