Last visit done and all pre qualifications complete

I had my final NUT appointment Friday the 27th and all other requirements have been completed, but my doctor office says it could take them 2 weeks before they submit to insurance. I am so disappointed! I have passed all test and evaluations with flying colors, I have the clearance from my primary doctor stating that I am an excellent candidate for the surgery and I am healthy enough to have the surgery. I don't understand why the clinic will take that long to submit to insurance.....I have waited so long already and thought they submit to insurance right away. Anyone else had this happen? Is this typical?

It all depends on who handles the paperwork for your doctor's office. I told her the week before my last appointment, and she said she would get everything else ready. And she sent it within a week of my last appointment. The kicker for me was, insurance approved it within 10 days of submission but it took my doctor's office 3 weeks to give me a date. So it'll take some time once you're finished. Good luck!!

I feel like I have been waiting forever .... Thanks for the reply. :)

I ABSOLUTELY understand how you feel. I felt like waiting for a date took longer than the all the pre-op appointments. And now I have until June 7th to wait and twiddle my thumbs until my VSG. The waiting is the terrible part, but it'll be worth it in the end! Good luck!
