I finally received my pre-determination yesterday! Currently on Pre-Op liquid diet and surgery is scheduled for 2/5. Very excited ?

Help! So, my original date was 2/24. I received mail yesterday (pre-determination) stating denial due to insufficient documentation for co morbidity. Talked with my surgeons office this morning, it could be a coding issue combined with not sending in my BP treatment plan. The surgeon is interested in bumping up my surgery due to an cancellation to 2/5. I'm scheduled to go in for my Pre-Op class tomorrow now. Has anyone experienced denial and a fast turn around when supporting documentation is sent back in. The variables have me on a roller coaster ride of emotions!

Hi All! I just got my surgery date! February 24th. I couldn't be more anxiously excited. The nerves are officially here!

Reading all of these helped me out immensely (even if this wasn't my thread)! My Pre-op class was scheduled today and now I'm just waiting for Pre-determination until getting my surgery date (sometime in Feb). As of today it hit me like a ton of bricks. I've lost 12lbs since January the 1st. My thoughts "why do the surgery, you can just keep on this track of weight loss and do it yourself without life changing surgery". I've never second guessed myself until today. Thanks guys!!

Hi All! I'm new to this platform and so happy to have found such an informative and supportive environment. I just scheduled my pre-op class! It's starting to get real. Pre-determination has been sent and now just waiting to schedule the date, which is looking like February from my surgeons perspective. Nerves have officially set in. My mother and sister both had Gastric Bypass', so I'm familiar with the majority of everything. For some reason however, this feels totally different and new. I've not felt nerves until today.
