Only a few of my steri-strips have fallen off. So, I can’t really do any rubbing except on top of the strips. I wash every night with the special soap they gave me to use before surgery.

I’m 10 days postop. My incisions are itching so bad! What did you do for itchy incisions??

June 4th is my date. They went ahead and did all my pre surgery blood work, so I’m ready to go.

I go tomorrow to schedule my surgery date! I’m hoping the date won’t be too far out. One question about the liquid diet after surgery. I know I may be eating a lot of broth. What is the best for you brand of broth to buy?

Went to my PCP today as it is an insurance requirement to see them monthly as well. He was excited for me! He has also had the sleeve done. It’ll be nice to have a PCP that has gone through the same experience! Three months to go! I’ll be doing a sleep apnea test soon.

I went to my first appointment yesterday. They said for me it’s going to be all about maintaining my current weight before surgery. If I lose more than 5 pounds, my insurance won’t approve because my BMI will be under 40. They are sending me to have a sleep apnea test done though. I’m always tired and my husband has said I’ve become a loud snorer. If I would happen to have sleep apnea, the weight worry wouldn’t be so bad. Here’s to hoping I can maintain my weight and not go under those five pounds.

I’ve been talking to my friends here and with their sleeve they only had to stay in the hospital for one day. Hoping that’s it for me as well. I need to get back to work ASAP.

How long are you required to stay in the hospital?

Hello! I'm new. The office is supposed to be calling me this week to schedule my first appointment. They said my insurance company usually requires four months of weigh ins with them and I should be good to go. They told me I'll need to maintain close to my weight to make sure my BMI doesn't go under 40. Anyone get told that information?

I think my insurance will require 4 month weigh ins.

I'm in KY and just starting. I have my first appointment in the next two weeks. I'm so excited! I'll be going to Kings Daughter Medical Center in Ashland.
