  1. Thanks for recommending Clusie! I've been watching her everyday for a month now. She's great. And I need Robert Earl! [emoji76]
  2. That's so wonderful! Congratulations!
  3. I would suggest finding a local WLS support group.
  4. I'm not due for surgery for 5 days so take this with a grain of salt. I have seen many many people lament over the "week 3 stall" so it seems you aren't alone. Word on the street is that that you are losing inches during these stalls. Grab your tape measure and see if you numbers have changed. If you are doing everything right it will pass! Good luck!
  5. I had to watch a seminar put out by my surgeon before I could schedule a consult. I had my consult, met with the nutritionist, saw my PCP, had a psych consult, then my coordinator submitted my case for approval. It took 3 weeks (which is uncommon) for them to approve. I scheduled my surgery date the day my coordinator called to tell me I was approved. I attended a required 2 hour group course with the nutritionist. I have my pre-op appt on Thursday and surgery Monday. * my insurance required proof of non-surgical attempted a weight loss for six consecutive months occurring in the last two years. I already had that but the meeting with the nutritionist, my PCP and the two hour class would've counted toward the six months. They just need to be spaced properly. Hope this helps! It seems pretty standard. Some insurances/patients/practices require more extensive pre-testing.
  6. SHOULD be, but drop an email to your nutritionist to be sure. As we have seen....all practices vary.
  7. Hope all went well for everyone today!
  8. Sending prayers for all our friends getting sleeved this week! Can't wait to hear how it went. Remember to take your pics and measurements if you haven't yet. I did it today and it was eye opening. Hugs!
  9. I have only clear liquids the 2 days before surgery but that is the extent of it.
  10. I'm with you on the 15th!
  11. How are you doing Netterz?
  12. I know me too! I am scheduled the day before you and my doc requires a 2 days clear liquid diet. The comparisons are driving me so batty, I gotta stop!
  13. Hi Sandra. Did you ever find a group near Broomfield?
  14. I know this is an old thread but I'm wondering if anyone else is having trouble with the app? I flat out won't work for me. I deleted and tried to re-install.....won't do anything. Is just says "waiting" under the app. Thanks!
  15. MY coordinator just called with insurance approval and I'm scheduled for January 15th!!!!!! Eeeeeek!!!!! So excited
  16. Thinking of you Brandi and hope you are feeling a little better!
  17. I was told to not lose any weight or I wouldn't qualify for insurance. So I have found myself pounding so much crap to "make weight." It was fun for a little while but now I'm just miserable!
  18. Thanks everyone for your responses!
  19. Hi Everyone. I am brand new and looking at January or March for surgery, depending on insurance. I have scoured these forums and see a lot of talk about endoscopes before surgery. My list of requirements do not have a scope checked and I inquired with my coordinator yesterday who confirmed that my surgeon did not order one for me. Is this possible? Has anyone not had a scope beforehand? Thank you!
