  1. Thank you all for some ideas! Hw-378 Sw- 363 (2/27/18) CW-338.4
  2. Hello everyone! Officially 2 weeks post op today. Really struggling with my fluids but still trying to get more and more in! My main problem is food! The irony... it seems like I have a food aversion to everything. I’ve tried some things that work one day and not another. Still on full liquids/ some mushy. I was just seeing if anyone had some ideas besides applesauce, pudding, and yogurt. I can seem to hold beans pretty well but they’re getting boring. Thanks for any ideas Hw-378 Sw- 363 (2/27/18) CW-338.4
  3. I got approved around Jan.8 or something like that and surgery was 2/27. Hw-378 Sw- 363 (2/27/18) CW-342.5
  4. Went up 2 lbs Hw-378 Sw- 363 (2/27/18) CW-342.5

  6. Has anyone tried tespo? They mix into a drink. Hw-378 Sw- 363 (2/27/18)
  7. I had my surgery in Indiana and only had a 1 day partial liquid fast prior to surgery. After surgery 2 days of liquid and after on mushy foods Hw-378 Sw- 363 (2/27/18)
  8. Had my surgery on the 27th, still having some right side incision pain, other than that doing really well. How’s everyone else doing? Hw-378 Sw- 363 (2/27/18)
  9. I just had rny last week and I just turned 27, so happy with my decision. My doc really recommended sleeve and said if years later I hadn’t lost enough I could revision to bypass. Im hoping for one and done! So I went with bypass due to heart burn issues. Hw-378 Sw- 363 (2/27/18)
  10. That’s awesome. Anesthesia makes me very ill and couldn’t stop throwing up until this afternoon. I’m so ready to go home
  11. Had my surgery yesterday. Just started feeling better this afternoon. Hopeful I get to go home tomorrow
  12. Hi Sammie, I’m 27 and will be having my surgery 2/27!! Rny and ready counting down the days. I live in southern Indiana, really close!
  13. My surgeon gave me the same option either would be approved. He told me he recommended the sleeve and if years later I hadn’t lost enough with sleeve I could do revision to rny. Revision!! My plan is to have one surgery, not a potential second. Also I have pretty bad gerd after telling him that he suggested it would be best for rny, he said if I suffer it would be worse after sleeve. 5 day until surgery!!
  14. Maparrish!! 5 days and a few hours, I’m literally counting down to my day
  15. Can I ask what your starting weight was? That’s incredible progress
  16. Cannot day since I am still a week pre op but most things I’ve read say that hair loss slows around a little after six months
  17. You know I’m very overweight, 5’6” about 360 and I have 12 days til surgery. My hospital only requires a one day pre op diet which literally allows you to eat breakfast as normal and liquids the rest of the day. My paperwork actually says ice cream counts as a liquid!! [emoji54] I would think you would be ok and even though my doctor doesn’t require a diet I am trying to only have liquids and A dinner. The more weight I lose ahead of time the closer I get to goal.
  18. Isn’t it sad that that’s what people see as far as your value at work. Size has nothing to do with it. I really want to find a job that travels, I’ve wanted to travel my whole life and when I lose the weight that will make it so much easier.
  19. February 27th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Finally!!! Congrats we are all going to have a great year with great improvement
  21. I've decided to tell my immediate family and my boss at work which is basically like my work mom. We talk about a lot outside of work and I needed to ask off and wanted her to know. My own dad would greatly benefit but isn't supportive of the surgery, however he is happy for me. I have been debating telling others as my surgery is next month. I really don't want others constantly asking how things are going, how much I've lost, etc. I may end up changing my mind later but I think I will keep with the confidentiality of my medical history.
  22. My surgeon doesn't require a pre op diet either just sensible.
  23. I have terrible gerd I'm hoping this gets rid of it as well!
  24. St Vincent bariatric center of excellence in Carmel! And you?
  25. Rny on February 27th!!!! I'm so excited, anyone from Indiana?
