  2. I will not be that girl. For one, she's a religious loon and ya know i'm SO not. Bahahahahaha! For two...her little boy is adorable and I want to shake the crap out of her for minimizing the toll her choices are having on him. For three...her poor dopey husband is so kind, I just hate her for how she treats him. Then again...he's an enabler from another planet...so what can you do? It's like she had all the right answers....until after the surgery when she turned into a snarky twit. And her telling the EMTs she's lost three hundred pounds! What a freakin liar. She's nuthin' but a bad Penny. Adjust Your Crown? Please forgive us for our side rant. LOLOLOL. Your post was awesome:)
  3. I'll let others more informed than I give you advice. I just wanted to say I think you're brave and really cool for putting yourself out there and doing this:) Good luck!
  4. Wishing you a safe effective procedure and a quick recovery:) I feel your pain...the struggle is real:)
  5. I put it on when i'm walking laps....somehow seeing those visceral images of the pain and stress of severe obesity gives me the gumption to finish my daily exercise goal. And I love Dr. Now. Like...really love him and want to adjust my "eating habit" to make him proud. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
  6. So....14 Days total 6 days you did ok 3 days you cheated 5 days to go. I think as long as you don't cheat any more at all...and do your last five days by the book...my gut says you'll be ok. (as always, asking your group is the right answer here)
  7. Coco Wheats. 110 calories of chocolate childhood joy. Thinned with half of a chocolate premier protein. 190 calories 16g protein.
  8. Today's lunch: Steak salad with low fat swiss, avacado and egg...with balsamic drizzle:) (and a few croutons...cause I'm bad that way) PS...had half for lunch and half for my afternoon snack.
  9. YES! I want to slap the crap out of Penny.
  10. On the plus side? 60 pounds down....40 to go. I just wish there was more rhyme and reason to it!
  11. Ok...so for five days in a row...I was super careful with my diet, walked seven miles a day, and slept at least 7 hours. Weight loss? Nada. Nothing. Scale isn't budging. So I have a bad sleep night, eat a few extra carbs and salt...even corn chips *gasp!*....can't bring myself to walk all seven miles....had a *still legal* but crappier diet day yesterday. Weight loss? Two pounds. Weight loss....you suck. You're drunk, go home.
  12. One of the bigger reasons I opted to finally do surgery.
  13. My gallbladder surgery was super easy. Had it at 7 in the morning, was home on the couch eating Subway turkey sandwich by 1pm. There's gonna be a little gas pain anytime they inflate you...lol....but walking helps. When my gallbladder was at it's worst, I found that cottage cheese was a safe food...and I never ate more of it in my life. I existed on it almost exclusively for three weeks...ugh! You're going to do just fine. It's not that bad, and you will be so glad to be done with the attacks. Hang in there!
  14. What kind of anti aging cream? I'm mid 40's too, have never been a big make up wearer...and I feel lost looking at the different kinds. Only makeup I've ever worn routinely is a little cover girl base makeup to even out red tones and provide sun protection for my vampire skin...and a very little bit of eye liner and mascara on occasion. I'm looking at entire WALLS of dozens of anti-aging creams and moisturizers and have no clue what I'm doing. Anyone have a brand they swear by? (in addition to the cool face yoga:) )
  15. I'm still looking for a super moisturizer or something... but I will DEFINITELY look at Face Yoga:) Thanks for mentioning it!
  16. Love, love, love your attitude and honesty. Great post:)
  17. What is causing your iron to be so low? Please get to the bottom of this question before having surgery.
  18. Keep in mind that docs have been known to cancel surgery if the liver hasn't reduced on the pre-op diet. Doesn't happen often, but it does happen. It's important to not cheat. If you do cheat, cheat with protein only. (Don't cheat!) The point of the diet is to restrict carbs to shrink your liver. If cooking triggers you...don't cook:) Best wishes on a safe effective procedure! Keep us posted:)
  19. My doc said to just pay attention to my comfort and do what I feel up to sex-wise. We took a couple weeks off, and then made a point to keep things lower key for a bit. Sorry if this is TMI...I thought it was a good question. Anyone else's doc give them different instructions about resuming sex?
  20. Love that I'm losing my extra chin...love seeing some definition around my jaw and neck and clavicles... Really loving this weight loss! But I'm suffering this hint of texture to my chin skin that looks suspiciously like the beginning of....God help me....TURKEY NECK! Anyone recommend a good anti-turkey neck cream to help prevent or minimize the wattle? Thanks.
  21. I don't dream about food. But when I was pregnant I kept having a dreams where I gave birth to a puppy instead of a human baby....and I was very happy, would put the puppy in a dog crate....then my mother would come in and put clothes on it and feed it a bottle...and it was still a puppy. Dreams are weird. LOL
  22. Isn't that the coolest? Hubby and I did some canoeing and hiking this summer as I was getting started on my diet. Been a few years since we did that...particularly, since we've done it without kids. My daughter and the cousins are all in college now (except one little who we see once a year). Doing stuff...just us...with no one to take care of or whose needs need to be put first....has been really nice:) Feels like the old days when were were dating.
