  1. I recently hit my doctor goal of losing 100 pounds since my surgery and I'm not sure if I got to comfy or confident but all the sudden within like a week I had gain 4 pounds. It totally freaked me out so bad because I am so scared to go back to where I have been. I started working out again because I had become a slacker and I started eating better and I am back down to the goal weight, but man that was a wake up call. Anyone else have this happen? I think it has made me realize that this is a lifetime commitment to being a healthier person. But I have also become super obsessed with every tiny fluctuation in my weight now. PSW: 270 lbs CW: 165 lbs My Goal: 145 lbs

    Weight Fluctuation Nightmare

Thanks so much MargoCL. I agree and I am thankful everyday for the tool given to me.
  3. I was reminded today that I have posted in quite some time. I am doing great! I am down 102 pounds from my highest weight and need to lose 3 pounds to get to the doctors goal weight for me of 165. I actually want to get down to 150, but my family thinks that I am getting to skinny! LOL imagine someone telling me that! I have had some stalls and am guilty of weighing myself everyday, but so far so good. When I have a stall or that dreaded teeter totter of bouncing back and forth one or 2 pounds I just adjust my eating and exercise and I start losing again, it has not been easy. It's so exciting to be able to play with my granddaughter and hike and work out and not feel like I am going to kill over. I have also become a sounding board for people that are thinking of have the procedure and that feels good. Over all this has been a godsend for me.

    OCTOBER SLEEVERS CHECK IN HERE

That is so true. I went through some depression and anxiety when I first had my surgery and husband and kids just didn't understand. It was nice to find people who had been through it to talk to. It helped me tremendously.

    OCTOBER SLEEVERS CHECK IN HERE

So happy to hear that you are back on track. I agree the forum is super helpful and I am available if you need to talk or vent anytime. I think having a support system is what is going to get us through these huge changes.

    OCTOBER SLEEVERS CHECK IN HERE

I agree completely. I was getting frustrated because I had a stall and then I realized man I have lost 44 pounds in about 2 1/2 months and I am down 6 pant sizes!! I feel so much better and have joined the gym. It's so nice to walk across the room and not lose my breath. I have 1 year to lose 100 pounds (goal set by the doctor) I can do this!

Pre op Liquid diet SOOOO hard

Dinner time was the hardest for me too. I usually tried to save my 1 Greek yogurt per day for that time so I could feel like I was eating or I ate a sugar free popsicle. I also tried to go for a walk or find something to do so I wasn't watching my family eat. Good luck it is worth it in the end, but this is just the beginning

    OCTOBER SLEEVERS CHECK IN HERE

I was sleeved on October 26th. I was amazed at how quickly I recovered. I have had so many surgeries and have never recovered so quickly. I have lost about 26 pounds as of my 2 week appointment. I don't weigh myself because I'm afraid honestly of what the scale says. I can barely get food in I take 2 or 3 bits and instantly get nauseous and pain but I try. I'm afraid I'm not losing weight but when I look in the mirror I can see progress. I go through bouts of a little depression because I'm afraid I will just start gaining weight again......but I am determined to make this work. Its nice already having my clothes fall off.

    Stabbing/burning Pain

I'm so glad I read this I am just past the 3 week post op date and I suddenly started having this burning pain like someone kicked me in the tummy. Sounds like it happens about this time to most. I will tell my doc at my appointment Wednesday but I'm not freaking out as bad as I was.

Pre op Liquid diet SOOOO hard

The only thing that got me through it was sugar free popsicles and sugar free jello. I made sure to save that one thing for dinner time so I felt like I was "eating" something good. Sent from my LG-H872 using BariatricPal mobile app
