  1. If your hair dresser told you to do that one I’d probably go with that one. My mom ended up losing her hair and she’s a Bariatric patient as well and she gets head injections every two weeks and does nioxin and her hair is coming in nicely. My hair loss just started so we’re just to get a jump start on it
  2. Best thing to do is go to the nioxin website and it helps you determine which one will work for you. I use system 1 but my mom uses system 3 it just depends on the individual person
  3. I got a deal of nioxin on amazon for 25 bucks
  4. That happened to my mom and she’s over 10 years out. She gets steroid injections in her scalp to help and does nixion. It’s a hair growth shampoo and conditioner. I use the shampoo and conditioner as well but talk to your surgeon for some ideas as well
  5. Aww congrats! My birthday is July 6th! Summer birthdays are awesome!
  6. What does everyone do for fun on the weekends? I need some inspiration
  7. Goodluck! You’ll do great!
  8. Do any of you know of any products that help with hair growth?
  9. Did any of you have any ice cream brands that are low sugar and approved for Bariatric’s?
  10. I’m 4 months out and I had to do a prerequisite of 6 months of a preop diet before hand but that made me think about my health a lot. I did have some issues with getting sick and I got diagnosed with toxic metabolic encephalopathy and am still recovering. So just be really careful on not getting sick.
  11. It’s possible. I’m down 80 pounds and I had the same preop weight. And I’m jut shy of 4 months out but if you get surgery please make sure you don’t have sick people around you. I ended up having issues because of getting the flu. You can message me if you want to talk ever as well!
  12. I’ve had alittle bit of hair loss recently and I know with trauma or sickness we can lose our hair. Do you guys have any tips on hair growth?
  13. See I’m craving sweet stuff. And it wasn’t the reason I got the surgery either. My genetics made my metabolism really slow. I eat pretty healthy and exercised 6 days a week. I just want ice cream.
  14. When was everyone able to eat ice cream? I like the Mochi ice cream when is green tea ice cream wrapped in rice paper but idk how well I’d do with that. But I heard halo top ice cream is good but I’m scared to try it. Also what are your guys thoughts on protein bars?
  15. Trying. Finally getting an appetite back somewhat.
  16. No one tries to get sick. I ended up getting sick from the hospital.
  17. I ended up getting the flu about two weeks post op as well and I’m down 60 pounds because I ended up throwing up everything in my stomach. And I was hospitalized for 5 days due to dehydration. I’m still recovering from it.
  18. I got the sleeve and I don’t have heart burn anymore. My mom got the bypass and the Malabsorption is a big issue but as long as you do your routine labs and have a primary who knows bariatrics it helps
  19. Did anyone get the flu right after their surgery? I got my surgery the 28th and ended up getting the flu right afterwards and I’ve been sick since. Been throwing up and can’t keep anything in my stomach. Already been to the hospital twice as well. I meet with my surgeon on the 17th but we ruled out nothing surgical. Any tips on how to kick this bug?
  20. Has anyone tried a boba drink after being sleeved?
  21. How do you guys do with sugar? Or sweeteners?
  22. Message me! I had my surgery on the 28th and I’m twenty one as well
  23. When were you able to eat cereals and what kinds do you eat?
  24. So I’m sick and I’ve been craving cantaloupe or honey dew and I’m a month post op. When was everyone able to eat fruits like this. That or a crunchy taco?
