  1. You have to take calcium separately. I take the calcium and Vitamin D combo tabs sep in the morning. Sorry I should have mentioned that!
  2. Love your outlook! Thanks for sharing!
  3. I've heard of this after chemo with regrowth hair, but never for major surgery. It makes sense that its your regrowth. I don't know if people's hair that didn't fall out will change. *shrugs*
  4. Did you know they sell these at Walmart? I happened to see a coupon offer through Ibotta for them at Walmart ($1.00 off) and sure enough, they have them. I'm going to try one or two flavors before I use my points through here to order some more.
  5. It took me to lose approx. 80lbs before my coworkers started to say anything. Now, they don't say much anymore.
  6. Thank you, I appreciate that! I have gotten a little more attention in the man department recently. There was a bar tender asked for my phone number, and I literally turned around to see who he was talking to. I probably looked like an idiot. Made me feel good. Now, if I could just get my husband to notice SMH, lol. I'm working on that too!
  7. I try to take their compliments for what they are, and leave it at that. Sometimes it's genuine.
  8. Turns out there are a lot of these people though, and I never realized until now. I must have been fat and blind lol.
  9. Its not as uncommon as you might think to have these feelings after weight loss. You've almost lost your identity. I know for me, my weight was part of it, I would joke about my weight and make excuses because of my weight. It became who I was. Once you lose that part of you, it takes awhile to figure out what makes you, you again. I still have anxiety because sometimes I'll be super confident and rocking a cute top... and then I'll panic sets in, and I look around, and think... OH CRAP, Am I really wearing this shirt? What was I thinking?!? This comes and goes. I still see the same person from before surgery, until I look at photos, and that's when I can see a big difference. Have you tried looking back at old pictures when you feel down or unconfident?
  10. I've baked with Genepro and Isopure, and both mix well and do the job. This link has some great tips for baking with protein powder: https://teaspoonofspice.com/which-protein-powder-best-baking/
  11. I'd be okay with that too! No, not really, he's unchanged. I guess he's just not the complimenting type. I didn't deserve them before, but now that I do, I notice more. But my sister gave me some good advice, she said to increase my compliments to him, and see if that prompts them in return. I'm about a week into this experiment.
  12. 1. No regrets at all. 2. My vitamins aren't from Costo, but I think they are relatively cheap compared to most bariatric vitamins. Also, only 1 pill a day. These are swallow pills, in case you are still chewing. The pic below is a 90 day supply, so its $15 a month.
  13. Thanks for the response. I think we'd be great friends in real life O&D. I'm glad I can call you one here.
  14. How is everyone dealing/coping with the attention that comes with weight loss? I know personally, its been weird for me. Sometimes I feel happy when people compliment me, but other times, I feel horrible because I think to myself, no one treated me this well before. No one went out of their way to say, "I like your shirt." or "your nail polish is lovely." Now, I get compliments all the time on everything, not just my weight. Was I so disgusting before that people didn't look at my nail polish, or my fat clothes weren't cute? I'm ashamed of how bad I let myself get. I'm ashamed....
  15. You could always take your walks somewhere new! if you have a dog, go to the dog park. If there's a local museum or aquarium, go there and walk. Mix it up.
  16. 8-10 miles a day is incredible! I think I'll always gravitate towards the plus sizes too! I don't know what I'll do when I have to adventure into the regular women's section. I'm not far away in tops. Next stop is an XL.
  17. He might find that he loves the new you, its not all about physical appearance. He may discover that your energy levels are irresistible.
  18. I feel ya. its so frustrating!
  19. I have over 5,000 points, and I also didn't know about it until recently! I can't wait to redeem them.
  20. Don’t count out the sausages just yet. Sometimes you can retry things later down the line. It was that way with lettuce for me. You might just have to take baby steps from here on out.
  21. Thank you! I've got about 45lb more to go before my first goal. I'm hoping to make it by November 1st. Fingers crossed!
  22. I was just like you and actually used it in my first couple months post op (because I had already paid for it), but there has been a lot of reports out there that they are being sued due to their labeling. Their protein measurements are from a clinical trial, its not anything that has been tested and studied outside their company. Anyway, I'm not spending that ridiculous amount on something that I don't know for a fact that I'm getting "medical grade protein". From what I've read, it seems sketchy. @Matt Z could probably provide more info. I would recommend Isopure for unflavored powder.
  23. @Courtney95 I agree ^^^^ I didn't see a big improvement in my waist until almost 80lbs down, and I still only dropped 2-3 pant sizes. However, my outer extremities are a lot smaller. It truly depends on where you carry your weight, and how fast you lose. It's hard to say if you'll be one to lose 30+lbs in that one month. But one thing is for sure, I wouldn't buy a large if you are a 2-3X now. I don't think its realistic to say you will lose more than 35-40 lbs your first month. And that probably won't put you down 3-4 sizes. It would be better that you had something to wear, big or not, than something you couldn't fit into.
