  9. Yes take calcium citrate. You can crush them or chew them up. I was instructed to take them along with a few others daily at day 3 post op as well. Flintstone vitamins twice a day, calcium citrate one to two times a day if you don't have a protein drink, B1 once a day, prilosec once before each meal, B12 once a week. Your body will be deficient in these vitamins if you had the sleeve done. Hope it helps. We had to undergo a lot of nutrition classes before surgery Sent from my SM-J327T using BariatricPal mobile app

    Final pant/dress size?

Usually height takes up some of the size. I wouldn't worry about it as long as you are healthy. I can't wait to get into a size 10. I've got a ways to go since I just got sleeved a week ago. Wearing a size 20. Sent from my SM-J327T using BariatricPal mobile app

  13. My family and close friends are supportive and know how many hoops I had to go through to finally get it done but a co worker of mine asked me why I couldn't just go on a diet like so and so who is 25 and just had a baby. She supposedly lost 70 pounds by dieting. Frustrates me so much! First of all I'm 49. I don't have the metabolism of a 20 something and no way did that girl lose 70 pounds. She maybe lost 20 after her baby. I hate being compared to others. People always think I am taking the easy way out at work. I have to ignore the haters and do what's best for me. 15. Yes. My work switched insurance companies in September and I had 12 months of medical appointment plus psychological and a bunch of other stuff. The new insurance accepted everything and I had surgery in October. I don't think it matters which insurance you used before but rather did you meet your current insurances requirements. I was worried too but it was fine. Turn in everything and see what they say. Sent from my SM-J327T using BariatricPal mobile app
  16. It does get better each day. I had my surgery 10/20. Almost got 2 premier drinks down for first time yesterday so you are not alone. I concentrate on liquid first, use flavoring for water made with spenda. Keep making yourself walk, even a little. Sent from my SM-J327T using BariatricPal mobile app

Consider adding a probiotic daily. It’ll help your stabilize your gut and get things moving as well.

Things just cleared out this morning. I feel so much better. It must have been the meds they gave me in the hospital. Thanks all

Ahh...relief! I should have asked you how far post op you were. Using the phone so I don’t see all of that info. I was about 5 days post when I finally had a movement. Had to use some MOM to get it going though and that was the last time too. Added a probiotic early on...really helps!
