  2. I did kaiser Harbor city, Currently 6 month post op if you have any questions.
  3. Im 55 Rocket, had surgery in October, looking back the hardest thing about the whole deal was going to classes for 15 weeks before surgery. After that maybe first week trying to poop, being a little out of it for a few weeks and being on liquids but it wasn't bad at all. I haven't had any problem like some have had eating wise, i can eat anything i want and do go out to eat anywhere i want, i just always get a to go bag which is nice since it last at least 2 or 3 more meals. I wish i would of stayed a little more strict but best decision of my life, off all meds and down about 70-80 pounds.
  4. Best of luck in reaching your goal.
  5. So what's the plan 336mike on weight, you going to keep coming down? Try to level off? Or not sure yet lol?
  6. It's great but cost me a lot of money lol, i like to be in the water quite a bit and my selection of swim shorts were the big boy rack at walmart, now that i can wear regular size swim shorts i can shop at surf stores and such and may have went a little overboard on buying too many pairs. My buddy said i have a different pair on every 2 hours lol.
  7. Yes I'm in Long beach, yea meat counter can get crowded, i love there bacon so i always do the meat counter thing, sometimes it isn't too bad.
  8. 6 month check in, how is everyone doing? Iv'e been pretty much at the same weight for awhile, I cut out carbs last week and starting to see some results again.
  9. Great job, the old you looked looked just like the boxer butter bean.
  10. Powerade zero was on sale 49 cents for the big bottle yesterday at staters bros.
  11. I guess....Maybe i was just eating too much.
  12. Personally i don't think hitting the gym 7 days a week is the best thing when your running on 600 calories or so in the beginning, sure a light workout is fine but going crazy may slow things. For me i could stall myself out doing a steady hard gym regiment so i stopped doing it in the beginning . I stepped up my walking game, doing less couch time and even started doing pushups every morning, well push up as in "1", i can do 30 now easily even 3 or 4 sets do a few crunches and a few quick curls and my workout is done for the day along with 10,000 steps or so. I still hit the gym some but its always at the end of the day were it is easy to say your tired and not go, so at least i know i did something first thing in morning. I lost hair also seems to be slowing now according to my shower drain. Biggest thing that killed my loss is grazing, went all of march and didn't lose anything, stopped grazing and most carbs( slider foods) and seem to be dropping again. Funny i can only eat 5-6 bites of a protein and be stuffed, but i can eat a whole sleeve of crackers easily like i never had surgery and still want to eat.
  13. Stay slow and steady on bumping up workout, had a few dizzy spells when i went to hard at first, but keep up the good work.
  14. Great job, keep up the good work!
  15. Yep, Totally! The stuff I'm doing right now that is so much easier to do and to do it for a lot longer period makes me very happy, the mirror always brings me back to reality though when i see my old mug lol, but my mind don't have a mirror so feeling young is great.
  16. I could hang ornaments off of mine lol
  17. I hate the turkey neck way more then then the bug gut, i been use to that for 30 years lol
  18. Yea lol, i got the buoyancy of a rock!
  19. I think a lot of it has to do with the surgeon you choose and his schedule, when i mine called i pretty much could of done it the next week, i waited a few weeks so it worked best with my work schedule.
  20. I used a snorkel and mask yesterday, it looked dorky but i could concentrate on just swimming and my stroke amd not worry about drinking the pool trying to breath, worked really good! Going to stick with it until i get a stronger swim stroke.
  21. Im your same age and finally decided enough is enough, best thing i ever did and wish i would of did it 10 years ago and saved my body form all the damage it has endured being overweight , I went through Kaiser if you have any questions feel free to ask.
  22. I just started swimming last week, sure get the old heart pumping, now if i could stop swallowing all that water i would be getting somewhere lol
  23. I pretty much stalled all month, i know things slow down at the 6 month mark but i think I'm just eating way too many carbs and its costing me weight loss. I think my body shape is changing even without weight loss with all the working out but starting today I'm back to mostly eating protein to see what that does, i too have another 25 i want to loose. I also struggle to get water in, not because its hard but because it isn't a priority which changed a few days ago when i decided after getting light headed at the gym it was a result of me not getting hydrated properly.
  24. With my new weight loss i picked up a sea doo and have been riding it like crazy, i like to hit the gym on weekends seems way less crowded then the week. walk at beach is always great also.
