  7. Well I finally got my RNY date-it all goes down July 23. I’m excited and nervous all at once, but I really just want to move into this next chapter in my life. I really like my surgeon and his team and I am confident in his skills. Need to start stocking up on liquids and vitamins ? Any others having surgery the week of 7/23? Meg in MN
  8. I have the exact fears!! Especially throwing up ?
  9. I find out my date on Tuesday when I see the surgeon. I’m thinking it will be in late June or early July.
  10. Thank you!!! I’m getting very scared now and pray I’m making the right decision.
  11. Just make sure you call your surgeon if your incision looks infected. Glad you’re taking it easy next week. I plan on taking 2 weeks off after surgery.

  15. Thank you so much for the encouragement!!
  16. Okay- I appreciate your input and advice. A couple people l know get the foamy stuff but not nauseous because there’s no bile apparently. I wish I didn’t have this phobia. I just know I want this surgery so I’m going to fight through it.
  17. So you were nauseous too? ☹️
  18. My “friend” that knows of my phobia made sure that I knew today that she ate 3 bites of a corn dog and threw up. I don’t need more worry!! She had RNY last year and insists that I will get sick the first several months. Ugh. I see my dietitian again tomorrow- can’t wait to discuss this with her. Just knew you would understand my anxiety. Megan
  19. I am seeing Dr. Siddiqui (sp?) too! I see her next week. I’m doing gastric bypass. I think my surgery should be in May.
  20. I’m having mine done at United by Svendsen too!! Small world! I have 2 dietitian appts and the psych visit left. ? it’s a bummer Lyndsey left- hope the new dietitian is as good.
  21. I’ll make sure of it! Miralax will be on hand!!
  22. Are you serious!? Omg that’s terrifying!
  23. Just deep breathe... Once you get the anesthesia you’ll be out in seconds and won’t remember anything. I have stomach issues so I’ve been there. I was sooo scared but got through it no problem. You’re gonna do great!
