  1. I am in the same boat- food addiction. I’m 2 weeks post op and now in tears daily because I miss food and worry about never eating tasty food again. It’s a serious and difficult addiction.
  2. You are rocking it!! Wow- great work! I’m impressed (:
  3. Thanks so much for he encouraging words ?
  4. I’m 5 days post op and honestly really struggling with cravings, commercials, etc. Hoping a couple weeks out when I move to pureed stuff this gets easier. Just sipping water and clear liquids is getting old. I’m hanging in there because I know the end result is worth it.
  5. Thanks to all whi responded!!
  6. Hi all, Just wondering if anyone has tried beverages with the sugar replacement stevia. Any issues? I like vitamin water zero and other drinks that contain stevia but am only 4 days out and don’t want to get sick or dumping. Thanks! Megan
  7. Wow- great news!! I wonder if they’re going to re-test me too.
  8. Sending good energy your way!! Hugs!
  9. Thanks so much! Each hour gets a little better.
  10. Hi all, Had my gastric bypass Monday and came home yesterday afternoon-felt like I should have stayed another night but glad to be home. This is quite an adjustment- making sure I get a sip of water every 7 min and taking meds. Hopefully my cramps stop and some more gas releases (: Hope you are all well! Megan
  11. Okay- thanks so much. I’m trying to be positive as I get ready for my big day today and this helps!!
  12. So glad to hear Im not alone!! Thank you ?
  13. Thanks so much all! My surgery is tomorrow and I’m kinda in panic mode.
  14. Hi, How often do you throw up since your surgery? I’m very scared- phobic of throwing up. Thanks in advance!!
  15. Wow!!! Congrats and nice work!! Gives me hope. Glad you’re feeling better!!
  16. I’m in MN too! Having bypass at United on 7/23!
  17. You poor thing!! I haven't had my surgery quite yet, but I would call the surgeon's office if none of the suggestions below work by Friday. Just my opinion. Hope you feel better soon!!
  18. My appointment went great. Super fast and easy. Had a blood draw, BP reading, and meds discussion - was outta there in 25 minutes!! Two days earlier, the bariatric nurse taught a 2 hour class on everything the patient should know before surgery day about expectations, instructions, things to buy, etc. it was super helpful - I had read a lot of the info already from the books I received months ago, but to hear it made a huge impact and answered a bunch of questions I had about things (my meds, day of surgery, etc.) My mom came with me so she could hear it all too which was nice. How are you doing?? Are you taking 2 weeks off work after surgery? Megan
  19. We can finally say we are having surgery “next week”! That’s true! I’m very nervous.
  20. I am on the 23rd too! I am having the RNY - in Minnesota.
  21. I agree! The ERs have gotten way too paranoid that most people are drug seeking! It’s really humiliating when they treat people like that. Especially people truly in pain! Hope you’re feeling better!
  22. Best wishes and good luck!
  23. I’m so glad you’re ok!! Any idea what it was?
  24. I’m doing so-so...the protein shakes are nasty. I’m having a hard time getting them in. I need to do better for sure. I have my pre-op physical tomorrow. Last step before the surgery! How’s it going for you?
