  1. My weight loss during my pre-op liquid diet has slowed down a bunch. At first I was losing at least 1lb+ a day. Now it's like half a pound or no change. Is this normal? I've been following all the rules!
  2. Good luck on your surgery today @LuckyCharm88!
  3. I gotta get some green tea - thanks for the tip!
  4. I still have a few more weeks - I chose to start my liquid diet a few days early AND I have to do it for 28 days, but I'm doing okay! Are you seeing much weight loss yet with the liquid diet? Are you feeling different?
  5. I survived the Halloween party last night without having any drinks, snacks or candy! Brought a protein shake with me and drank water and danced a bit. Had fun - proud of myself for following the rules! Down 9 pounds since 10/20!
  6. Hi Camilla! Doing great so far, it definitely gets easier. I am on day eight and it feels pretty normal now. Going to a party later, that will be hard cuz there's going to be candy and alcohol everywhere. Wish me luck! Oh and I'm down 7 pounds.
  7. I see we have very similar goals @Berry78
  8. I'm officially one week into my liquid diet and I've lost 5 pounds!!! 3 more weeks to go for me!
  9. It really just says "current weight" so maybe it is from your weight at surgery time @brightfaith
  10. I think it is from your highest weight - here's a guide I found: https://www.obesitycoverage.com/weight-loss-surgeries/gastric-bypass/how-much-can-i-expect-to-lose
  11. Great feedback @shericrazylady and @dmdakd!!! Thanks so much, this is really helpful
  12. I started my journey 6 months ago too! I'm so excited for surgery.
  13. No problem. I called my nutritionist to ask her if it was okay to start early and she said it was totally fine. You may want to do the same just in case.
  14. I started my liquid diet almost a week earlier than I needed to and it turned out to be a great idea. It seems like the more weight you lose pre-op, the better you do post-op.
  15. Amazing job - you look fantastic!!!
  16. Hi there, My highest weight was 311 and I've lost about 20-25 pounds so far during pre-op. I just started my liquid diet a week ago and still have three more weeks to go - not sure how much I will lose but I can definitely tell I'm losing. Anyway, my goal weight is 160 and I've noticed that most people who get down to a similar weight started off around 260 or less. I'm wondering if, since my starting weight was 311, will I even be able to achieve 160 years from now or should I adjust it and raise it to 185 or something like that? Any advice or tips? Thanks so much in advance!
  17. Woohoo @vrm2bfit! Are you excited? How are you feeling?
  18. Thanks for letting me know! I'm scared to try anything but chocolate since most other flavors are so nasty. What does it taste like?
  19. Any other November 22, 2017 sleevers out there? Let's start a thread - roll call!
  20. Hi @Krista27! I started my journey in April 2017 and I've lost between 20 and 25 pounds - I kept plateauing and then slipped up a bit. I just started my liquid pre-op diet about a week ago and haven't been able to weigh myself in a while because I sprained my ankle and can't put any weight on it.
