May 25th.. one week away from the losers bench

Things are going rather quickly... I feel all types of emotions but excitement tops them all... I just have my psych eval left and then visit with my PCP for letter of medical necessity and then I’ll get a tentative date at my next supervised visit! [emoji51]

Hi Jaz, id like to be ya buddy & support person.. i am also going thru the 6 supervised visits... I started my process in October and I’m on visit 4, just 2 more to go. It’s getting close...

Wow... speedy process.. i have Aetna as well but I’m being required to do a 6mnths [emoji19]

Just curious to know who has Aetna and what was your experience like? How was the approval process... did it take long? Are they super strict??

I should be getting sleeved the end of April beginning of may... I’m currently doing my 6 supervised visits.. super excited, i hope the time fly by fast!

Each day will get better... good thing is the worse part is over with.. now time to adjust to a new way of living/eating and work ya ass off in the gym to keep them pounds coming off... congrats on making it to the losers bench

I work near Hackensack. I work in Maywood NJ, but I'm from Paterson, NJ... krandall how was the surgery and many much have you lost so far? Congrats on making it to the losers bench. I know it's been one hell of an experience thus far

So I've been contemplating weight loss surgery for a while... back in January 2017 I went to the seminar,& then had a consultation with my surgeon... after the consultation I still needed some time to process things and decide if this was what I really wanted to do.. September 2017 I decided to move forward with the process.. had a second consultation with my surgeon and the process began..:: I'm currently doing my 6 supervised diet visit with the nutritionist(as required by my insurance) and surgery will be scheduled on the 4th visit... I haven't told anyone yet.. not my parents, my sister no one.. only because I feel like they wouldn't be supportive of my decision and I didn't want them to try and talk me out of it... I did however tell my God sister(who is already sleeved) and she actually referred me to her surgeon... once I get a surgery date I will tell them tho...... anyone else struggled or contemplated about telling their family about their decision to have wls???

The process has just begun... I'm currently doing my supervised diets(6 visits) but my surgery will be scheduled on the 4th visit.. I'm just super excited, anxious, nervous and the list goes on... was just looking for local sleevers..
