  3. I'm so overwhelmed by the kindness, encouragement and pure AWESOMENESS of all of you guys!! You are totally amazing!!!!
  4. I didn't get the Mirena for birth control... I needed the hormones... I'm counting down til I can get it back!
  5. I'd have my vit/mineral levels checked as well... My vit D was extremely low.. I couldn't sleep for weeks.. started supplementing.. I was fine.. Stopped for my pre-op diet.. can't sleep!!!!
  6. My surgeon had me remove mine 2 weeks before surgery...He said due to my weight, he didn't want to take any chances... He's extremely cautious and meticulous about EVERYTHING!!!!
  7. Awesome!! So excited!! Prayers sent!!!
  8. In my pre-op classes, my doctor wants me to snack on fruits and veggies when I get regular food... I do realize our bodies are different and couple w/ my metabolic issues, that's probably the reason.. I would suggest seeing a nutritionist who is familiar w/ the sleeve and seeing what they suggest.. Perhaps you are deficit in some vits/minerals or something...
  9. Thanks guys!!!.. Yes, Monday.... MONDAY!!!! OMG!!!! I'm excited.. and super nervous!!
  10. I've lost 11 pounds since Sunday!! LOL.. got on the scale this morning.. 364.0!!! I can't believe I just typed my weight!! Yes, the weight I will NEVER be again!!! Oh, my resp. therapist tried to weigh me on a 350lb max scale.. When I told her it wouldn't weigh me, she didn't believe me!! LOL... That was funny!
  11. Congrats!!!! I'm so proud of you!!! My co-worker bought me a beautiful journal yesterday...
  12. So, I spent 4 hours at the hospital getting Pul Fcn Test, Chest xray, LOTS of blood work and a venous doppler on my legs... Spoke w/ the nurse intake person about pre-op instructions and some soap that I have to shower w/ for 3 days... The people were great!! Spent most time talking than testing... So... barring some freaky blood work issue, I'm on for MONDAY!!!! I'm so hungry right now.. but I'm smiling knowing that it's almost over!!!! I love my surgeon, hospital and friends right now... They've been super supportive!
  13. LOL.. I'm STRUGGLING with this pre-op diet!!! LOL... I can't do broccoli and cheese for a month!!! I'm only doing shakes and water...
  14. Oh wow.. I'm sorry that happened... How was your water intake that day??
  15. So, I have to admit... this pre-op diet has been quite difficult.... I think I slightly underestimated the hold that my FRENEMY food had on my life.. In fact, I should call it my food master!!! I've always been the type to not want anything, it if I couldn't have what I wanted... so, day 1 was SOOOO hard!! I wanted eggs, I wanted rice, I wanted cheez-its!! I had to tell myself, NO, NO, NO!!!!! It worked until 8ish and I was desperate to chew... I got over it!!! I'm learning that there will be lots of times when I will just have to GET OVER IT!!! These few days have taught me some very valuable lessons: I can't expect to just WAKE up and be a healthy person mind, body and soul.. All of it takes working through some difficult things and training myself to gravitate towards a new normal. Some of my journey must be private and/or only shared with a very select group of people. I have no room for constant negativity... the "old" me is constantly looking for an ally.. so, I refuse to give "her" one.. I must be diligent about ensuring that my head and heart are aligned when embarking on this life altering event... (I have, but it's still not a cake walk!)
  16. Awesome!!!! I can't wait until half of anything on my body is missing!!!! (preferably not my boobs!!)
  17. Congrats to those being sleeved today!!! My thoughts and prayers are with you!!!
  18. Cooper, it's going to work out for the best... I believe it!!! Just rest in knowing that once this issue is handled, you'll be on you way!! BTW, you'll always be a December Diva Sleever!!! Doesn't matter when your surgery happens!!!
  19. Congrats to all who were sleeved this past couple of days!!!! WOW!!! It's such an exciting time... I pray that none of us have complications and that our recoveries are smooth and swift!!!
