  1. I quit almost 2 years ago. 21 year smoker 4 packs per day. I quit cold turkey and haven’t looked back.
  2. I’m going to my 3 hour pre op appointment October 19, to get the rest of my information. Nutrition, and Dr appointment. Then run to the hospital next door to get my blood work done. I’m getting really nervous. Doing gastric sleeve with minimal support from family. Pre op diet starts October 24. Surgery is November 7, at 7:30 am.
  3. Same days here. Start liquid diet on the 24th surgery on November 7th at 7:30am.
  4. I deal with a mom with no filter either, she has Huntington’s. She’s 65. It’s not fun to deal with and causes a lot of my eating issues.
  5. That’s how I lost 230 pounds lol, got rid of my man. 21 years of abuse was enough. I’ve been a single parent for 4 years. I’d rather be single then have a man that doesn’t support me.
  6. Congratulations and good luck. Yours is 7 days after my surgery. Praying for quick and easy surgery and positive healing vibes.
  7. Good luck, so lucky to have someone else doing it side by side. Praying for easy surgery and quick healing.
  8. I’ll only be 16 days out on Thanksgiving. My sister in law invited me over for tea and broth. And she will feed my daughter and mother.
  9. Praying for painless and quick healing.
  10. Mine is two weeks of clear fluids. And then a bowel prep the night before. I don’t know my calorie wise yet, I have my 3 hour pre op appointment October 19. Liquid Fast.pdf
  11. I’ve been cut open vertically twice, once for c section and once for emergency surgery to clean sepsis out from a perforated bowel. My bariatric surgeon is really picky and says that I shouldn’t have any problems even though we know I have a huge amount of adhesions in there.
  12. I’ve seen a lot of people mention chap stick. Slippers, gas X, sugar free throat spray. Dry mouth spray.
  13. Congratulations and good luck.
  14. I’m getting sleeved November 7th. I’ve been low carb/ keto for 10 weeks now. I’m lost 25 pounds. I didn’t realize how carb heavy my meals were till I started keto. I didn’t find it hard to change the foods. I’ve had a harder time giving up my pop.
  15. Mine is two weeks of clear fluids. And then a bowel prep the night before. I don’t know my calorie wise yet, I have my 3 hour pre op appointment October 19.
  16. I dated the same guy for 21 years, never got married. Been single for 4 years now. Don’t plan on dating again.
  17. Mine is in 29 days, and it feels like a lifetime of waiting.
  18. I have a nuwave too, I haven’t had an oven for years. Love the nuwave also. You can cook a lot of great things in there.
  19. Once I got my date for November 7th. I almost cancelled. I still keep thinking about it. Not because I’m scared. It’s the money I’m scared to keep taking money out of the household.
  20. I got my pre op package from my center already, but I have a 3 hour pre op at the Drs, nutritionists on October 19, for the rest of my information. Gastric sleeve to be done November 7.
