Did ur surgeon give u a meal plan for after surgery...like how long each phase should last? If u search here for the phases im sure ull find some tips. Its been almost two weeks.on clear liquids and u seem to be tolerating it so i think u could introduce the protien shake. But again its better to seel advice from ur surgeon Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app

Probiotica
Im intrestest to know what probiotics everyone is using if any. I figure since the surgery removes 80% of our stomach..the flora is deeply distrupted. Has anyone used any natural supplements that have had adverse effects...such as kombucha or kefir? Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app

New member: feeling lonely and scared
Hi.. hang in there. Sounds like ur in a tough spot. Im a single mother also. My oldest has adhd..so i know how hard it can be. Dont loose faith. If u cant find anyone to take u and pick u up...call a taxi and i think some insurance provides transportations. Talk to ur insurance. Childcare is really difficult these days, i struggle with it alot. Maybe he can have a sleep over at a friends house since family doesnt seem to be an option. And since support is an issue. I would suggest u make ur meals before surgery n freeze them. U can buy the broth off the shelf or make ur own and freeze it. Do all ur shopping in advance. Keep me posted. Hope it works out for u Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app

Sleeve vs rny
Im still in the early stages so i will talk to my surgeon again for sure. I never noticed how often the reflux occured till i started researching these surgeries. Sometimes i think id rather deal with bad acid reflux then worse health complications associated with rny. Ive also read rny is better for high bmi...mine is 52... Different doctors
Hi.. I believe 35 is the lowest ur bmi can be. Your surgeon will require some further testing and usually one of them os for sleep apnea. And upper gi series which will determine acid reflux and other possible conditjons. Most surgeons offer a seminar. My primary really gave me a hard time when it came to giving mr a referal for a bariatric surgeon even thos my bmi is 52 with no other health conditions beside minor acid reflux. Even after he gave me the referral he is reluctant to give me any referals for any doc appointments the surgeon is requiring.. Find a good surgeon and ask as many questions as possible. Sleeve vs rny
Hi everyone Ever since i thought abt having this surgery ive wanted the sleeve bc it has less risk. But now that i have read up on both..im not sure. Something that ive noticed more is my heartburn/acid reflux..should that be a reason to switch to rny? All advise is welcome. Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app
