You’re welcome! And yeah, I tend to see how my pouch reacts to what I am consuming. Post op, I don’t think it cares for yogurt anymore, makes me gassy. I stick to protein and broth. I bought very tiny serving size bowls I found in a dollar store, lol. So ready! And congrats on sleeping in your bed. I think last night was the first night since I got home that I didn’t sleep propped up on a pillow. Shocked myself! Happy healing!

Hi! Welcome! And wishing you the best and praying your speedy recovery. Sometimes you don’t get nerves, sometimes it’s just excitement. I will be 2 weeks post op on Thursday and I didn’t experience nerves at all. Everyone is different. Almost at the finish line, good luck! And keep us posted about your journey ?

I had my consultation October of last year and officially started my journey November of last year. I did 7 months of nutrition, an upper endoscopy, a sleep study, cardiology testing, an abdominal ultrasound, labs, and a psych evaluation. My paper work (for the bypass) was submitted in May and I got my surgery date of 6/28/2018 less than a week later. I am 12 days post op and happy about my decision. This topic is old but I still want to weigh in. The only day I felt regret was the day after I had my surgery. But that was only because the nurse refused me my pain meds and I was in excruciating pain and felt like I was going to explode. After I got home, I was great. 12 days post op and I am feeling amazing and have ZERO regrets

My sleeve in 2 weeks will be my first surgery as well. My fear is of being put under. But it's gonna be so worth it! Congrats and I wish you all of the best! Being put under isn’t bad. Surgery day I was in the OR laughing and having a jolly time with the nurses and then I hear “it’s time to wake up” never knew I was put under, didn’t know anything had happened to me at all until I shifted and felt soreness and then looked in my gown and saw bandages. You will be fine ?

When I had my bypass on June 28th it was the very first surgery I had ever had in life. Indeed a big deal! But you will get through it. You’ve got this! Congrats!

I completely understand! I knew I was in a lot of pain but didn’t realize how much until post op. I just have more stamina and it makes me so happy! Best of luck and I’m sure you will feel amazing in no time!

And thank you! I feel amazing honestly. I can walk around without being winded or feeling back pains. It’s great!

Sleep study was quite the experience. I was just glad they didn’t have to wake me up to put a bipap or cpap on me. Good luck tonight!

You had your surgery a day before mine. Glad you are doing well ?

I’ve been doing pretty good since discharge. My hospital stay was less than desirable but once I got home everything is great. I still have slight soreness around my incisions but nothing I can’t handle. I get in 60g of protein a day and about 23-40oz of water. I start purées on Saturday, excited about that for some reason, lol. The scale is barely moving but my clothes are fitting looser so I’m not worried about the scale
