  1. I only call it that because it’s the beginning of a new life ? Hopefully everyone who have dates pending find out their Rebirth Days soon!
  2. I too have a timer! So excited! I start my liquid diet Monday!
  3. Staying one night at the hospital was the plan the doctor decided. I couldn't be in that room another day lol. lol, well wishing you a speedy recovery. If you ever feel off (hopefully you never do) call your surgeon immediately! Best wishes!
  4. I agree, that was super fast. I know here in Connecticut you have a mandatory overnight stay of at least 1 night for the sleeve and at least 2 for the bypass. I thought this was standard everywhere but now I’ve seen twice this month alone people leaving after a day. Praying speedy recoveries for everyone
  5. Congrats! August will be here before you know it!
  6. Yikes! That is terrifying! I’m not on any medications so hopefully I won’t have that issue
  7. Congrats! Hope you’re healing up nicely!
  8. I had a hysterectomy and have to take estrogen vaginally (sorry, TMI!). I wonder if I will have to do the same? You can always call your surgeon/surgeon’s office up and ask about it. Nothing wrong with finding out if it’s a possibility. Safety first right?
  9. Hope it’s not tmi, if so, I’m sorry. My surgeon only prescribed me the lovenox because I have a birth control implant so the hormones make me more prone to clotting
  10. They are to prevent blood clots
  11. So coming up very soon! Congrats! Hope to hear more about your journey ?
  12. Will definitely have the nurse instruct me on it. I already have the prescription for it. Thank you for the advice! I’m just such a big baby about shots. Scarring childhood incident to blame for that, lol
  13. Congrats! Welcome to the Summer Surgery family!
  14. I will do my very best to report my step by step journey, lol
  15. I’m super excited about everything except the shots, lol. I will kick and scream but inevitably do them. I am very shocked by how doable my pre diet is. For the most part I tend to do 2 protein shakes a day (as meal replacement) anyway so adding a 3rd won’t be too bad. My surgeon is happy to hear that I’m excited and not scared or nervous. Says it makes for a smoother process ?
  16. Thank you! I started reading tips around the forums about the injections. I’m gonna cry like a big baby but I’m going to do it. Oh and I found out I may have a small hiatal hernia which my surgeon will repair. And very soon you will finally be completing your journey to your new life (hopefully minus the injections, lol).
  17. So it’s getting very real, did my pre-op appointment today. Signed everything I needed to sign giving them permission to perform my surgery. I am only required to be on my liquid diet for 10 days. Down side(s): 1) found out that I didn’t need the isopure after ordering the isopure that my nutritionist insisted that I needed ??‍♀️ 2) I have to take lovenox injections. I absolutely HATE needles so I have no idea how I’m gonna pull off injections for 10 days. I have ONE more appointment before surgery. On the 20th I go to the hospital to meet with the Anesthesiologist. After that I am all set! Oh and my pre-op diet is three protein shakes and two 100 calorie yogurts a day. Doable, I happen to like protein shakes ??‍♀️. Anyway, that was my update. Sorry about being long winded, lol
  18. Could be. I submit for approval July 16th. Fingers crossed! ??????????
  19. You and @FierceOne could be surgery twins. Who knows?! ???
  20. Thank you so very much!!! You’re very welcome! ?
  21. Welcome! And congrats on your date!
  22. No problem! And good to hear! I’m fine, heading home from a pre-op appointment right now. My surgery date is the 28th!

  24. The kool aid ones are premade as well. They just taste better to me for some reason. Good luck!
