  1. Not too bad here. I'm at four weeks so lots of cottage cheese, refried beans and laughing cow cheese for me. Tried a pureed fruit smoothie tonight and that was absolutely a no go for my stomach. Lesson learned! I can't wait for solid food!!!!
  2. Thank you for this. This was very helpful for me. ❤️
  3. I got the recipe from Skinnytaste, sorry I don't have it handy I just google it anytime I need the recipe lol Haha I do the same thing! Thank you!!
  4. I'm the same way. I am 6 days post op. I was weighed the morning of surgery at 290.8, then three days post-op I was 298. Today I'm down to 293 so I've lost five pounds in a few days but overall I'm at a gain. Strange.. hopefully it ramps up soon.
  5. Hi all, I am five days post-op and I have slight pain in my lower left chest/in my side. I have been doing the breathing exercises no problem and am just kind of sore otherwise but I'm wondering if anyone else has had that? I'm thinking it might be gas pain or maybe pain from surgery radiating. Let me know!! Thanks! Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app
  6. Did anyone experience sight chest/left side pain after surgery? I'm 5 days post op and have slight lower left chest pain or pain on my left side. I can do the breathing exercises no problem. I'm not sure if it's just pain from my stomach or normal? It's nothing super bad, just slightly concerned. Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app
  7. Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear you're having a rough go! Hopefully in the coming days you'll start to feel better and better. It is definitely a process! Healing hugs to you!!
  8. Thank you! ? The most I have seen is to give the gas pains a few days and it usually starts to pass. When I felt no gas pain (still swollen and kind of "full") I was SO excited. Haha
  9. Awesome! Glad it's going well. That gas pain is horrendous at first but does definitely get better! I am 5 days post op and doing pretty well, mostly just sore and my tummy grumbles and gurgles a LOT. I am only on clear liquids until Monday but so far I haven't really felt hungry or thirsty. I can't tell if I am getting full or not but I'm slowly sipping all day. I get random pains after I drink sometimes but I think maybe I drink too fast or too much at once. Definitely a learning process!!
  10. Omg that looks amazing! Do you have the recipe handy?? Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app
  11. I have one week of clear liquids, then one week of full liquids, then soft/pureed for one week, etc. I cannot even begin to describe how excited I am to eat cottage cheese. LOL Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app
  12. How did it go? How are you feeling? I'm 4 days post-op. Such a huge change!! Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app
  13. Sleeve buddies! I haven't been hungry at all but that could be fear of drinking too much at one time or something. Haha. But I am so work you there, feel like I got hit by a truck!! And I can't wait for this IV to come out.
  14. Sleeved today. Pretty rough recovery for me. Had terrible gas pain for hours, got up and walked a bit. Didn't help much for me. As time has gone past i feel a little better but the pain is still pretty intense in my lungs. I'm almost constantly sleeping which I am fine with! Can't wait to drink something!
  15. Thank you so much!!! Heading to the hospital in about two hours!! A little nervous but mostly just want to get it over with! Haha
  16. March 18th for me! Started my pre-op liquid diet today! These two weeks are going to go so slow. Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app
  17. Starting my pre-op diet on Monday! No foods just liquids but I have protein shakes, broth, protein water and sugar free jello on deck. I'm kind of looking forward to it. I've been feeling so bloated and crappy lately. Only two weeks to go until surgery!!! Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app
  18. Hi everyone, I was told that I couldn't have black pepper two weeks prior to surgery. I start my pre-op diet on Monday so I ordered some bone broth. After I already ordered the broth, I noticed in the ingredients it lists black pepper. Does anyone know why we can't have black pepper? Or has anyone had black pepper with no problems? I'd like to find out what others did prior to surgery! Thanks!!
  19. I haven't been sleeved yet but figured I would hop in! Surgery date is 3/18/19. Starting pre-op diet on 3/4. HW: 325 CW: 301 (Went through a rough breakup) GW: 150 It's so encouraging to see everyone losing so much and living their lives! I can't wait to post updates! 20. Oh no! Well I've heard good things about RNY. I'm sure it will be great!!
  21. Did you have GERD before you got the sleeve? I also have a hiatal hernia that gives me reflux sometimes but it's not bad and very manageable. My surgeon didn't even say anything it. I've also heard quite a few people say they needed their gallbladders removed After WLS.
  22. Yay so many March folks!! It's getting closer and I'm so excited! Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app
  23. March 18th for me! I have sooo much to do before then! Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app
  24. I started the process through CMC a little over a year ago. They were nice but they have a lot of heavy restrictions that even if your insurance doesn't require, they still make you go through them. I had to stop because of a family tragedy but they also wanted me to get a sleep study but my insurance wouldn't cover it because I have nothing wrong with my heart. Ended up with a $700 bill before I even had the actual sleep study. I am starting the process over through Dartmouth Hitchcock and from what I've read so far, I like their structure a lot better. It's seems to be more catered to the specific person and what your insurance requires rather than just following their program regardless of you or your insurance requirements. I'm interested though, what was the negative review you heard about CMC?
