  1. That is my struggle! Slowing down and making a meal stretch! I will be keeping an eye on this thread!
  2. I am 6 weeks post op and had about 1/4 cup of popcorn last week. Some was cheese, caramel, and chocolate peanut butter drizzled popcorn. I had no issues. That being said, everyone is different and you should keep that in mind. I chewed really well, too, by the way!
  3. I am not super chatty but maybe we can help each other.
  4. Don't rush! I went back to work 2 weeks post op. Low energy but adjusted nutrients and made sure I had my vitamins! Glad to hear your surgery went well! Good luck!
  5. I really like protein on the go! Especially if it is not full of sugar and carbs! Thanks for the tip!
  6. Wow! Down 37 in 4 weeks!? I must really be doing something wrong! I had my procedure 7/24 and am down only 8 lbs! Great job! Very excited for you!
  7. What is you sort of puréed the steak? Maybe easier to digest!
  8. Sorry to hear you're having a rough time! I had dry heaves in the hospital and was given something for nausea. That helped a lot. I had some pretty decent pain from a deep stitch that I had. I imagine you have told a dr or nurse about your pain and nausea. I have no advice but am sending you positive vibes and best wishes! Hang in there!
  9. I think we all have to retrain the brain especially when it comes to our emotions! So sorry to hear of your losses. I hope things are better for you now. I don't know if journaling would combat comfort eating but it might be worth a try! It is suggested to exercise when feeling low but I have never done that! Hope you are well!
  10. My surgeon suggested BariatricFusion protein shakes. There are several flavors including a variety pack, which is helpful. I found the chicken soup flavor to be WAY to salty and could not handle that! I love the Cappuccino flavor! Loaded with essential vitamins and minerals! Good luck!
  11. My boyfriend found a 32 oz cup with a lid. I have that cup with me always! 2 of those a day is the goal! I did experience some dehydration even with the water. I added Powerade Zero to the water for added minerals, etc... it helped! Good luck and I hope things are better now!
  12. Hoping to find some people from the Buffalo/ Niagara Falls, NY are that has had a sleeve gastrectomy. Anybody?
  13. Any Western New Yorkers out there? How are you all doing? I had my procedure on 7/24 and am doing pretty good, I think!
  14. It is so interesting how different we all are! I am still losing weight but think I should be losing faster. I did start my strength training with exercise bands today. I really need to increase my waking, too!
  15. Did you go somewhere tropical?
  16. Lol did I see that you had your surgery 7/22?
  17. Omg! So healthy! Lol not sure I ate very well today!
  18. Tonight I had 4 oz of steak and about 6 asparagus tips! It blows my mind that I am so full! My biggest battle is slow eating! That has been my battle for years but now it is essential for me to slow down! I had a little lasagna for lunch! Seems crazy at 4 weeks post op! I will be seeing the surgeon soon. Then I will know if I am doing ok or not!
  19. Thank you for the insight! You are so right!
  20. Lol no worries about the shock! I am shocked, too! Since this post, I have looked at the info the surgeon gave me and what I have been doing. Changes have been made including slowing down and chewing more! I am 48 and for years I have eaten so fast and never really enjoyed a bite of food! Working on doing that now! I am highly motivated to hit a milestone right now, too! I started this weight loss journey last November and had my sleeve surgery 7/24. I am currently 6 pounds from the 300 mark and 16 pounds from the 100 pounds lost milestone! So glad I found this support group! Really is helping!
  21. Had my surgery 7/24. Tired! I am tired all of the time! There have been times that I needed to bump up my nutritional intake. Looking forward to my 6 week exam to see how the vitamins and mineral intake is going. I have to say that I expected faster weight loss. The first 2 weeks I had a 3 # loss each week however the past 2 weeksI have lost 1 # each week! My water intake has slacked somewhat but working on that. I can start my band workouts to help with muscle tone. Was back to work after 2 weeks but my job is not strenuous. Hope everyone is doing well!
  22. ssrainey.nerium.com is how to buy it. I have used it for a few months prior to the surgery, as well! I have used it on my neck and chin area and noticed that it has worked so far! With the amount of weight lost prior to surgery, 75 #, I don't have a ton of loose skin. The website has a place for before and after photos. Check it out!
