Any regrets??
It was difficult to drink all the water, and also get my protein shakes down. I’m getting better. I believe being 70 and out of shape may have something to do with bouncing back. That’s just my theory.

Are you taking bariactric vitamins, the kind that has everything in it? I was told to take that plus calcium chewies.

Pain on day 3
Lotte22, everyone is different. I, too, read all the posts where people felt great, and I thought I was crazy. The first week I felt horrible. The first few days were spent focusing on simply getting 64 oz of water. The protein was an added bonus if I drank any. I was on pain meds for one week. If you are drinking 64 oz of water each day, you will be okay. It’s difficult, but if you can get past the one week mark, things do become easier.

December 2017 Gastric Bypass!
My surgery was 12/13/17. It has been extremely difficult especially the first week. I’m doing much better now. I am much older than anyone i’ve read on the forum, so maybe that was the reason for the difficulty. Would I do it again? I don’t know yet.

Do Protein Shakes count as Water intake?
My doc says the 64 oz of water is completely separate. You cannot use your protein drinks, etc. to apply o the 64 oz. If this isn’t true, I would sure like to know because i’m gonna be mad.
