  1. Do they have any kind of weird taste to them? Thank you.
  2. It was difficult to drink all the water, and also get my protein shakes down. I’m getting better. I believe being 70 and out of shape may have something to do with bouncing back. That’s just my theory.
  3. Thank you so much. I’m feeling much better, just very weak.
  4. Are you taking bariactric vitamins, the kind that has everything in it? I was told to take that plus calcium chewies.
  5. Thank you so much! All of this is such a learning process. I’ll try the crock pot!
  6. Have you already been approved by insurance? If so, you won’t be disqualified.
  7. I’ll join this thread! I’m 70 years old, and had the bypass on 12/13. It’s been more difficult than I imagined, but i’m finally beginning to feel better. I’ve certainly Lost weight. The hardest part for me is getting my fluids and protein in. HW 275 CW 234
  8. It sounds very normal to me. The main thing is to get your fluids in. It does get easier.
  9. Thank you so much! This forum is nicer than the dietitians for sure! ❤️
  10. The jury is still out. I’m only 16 days post op, and it’s been a difficult recovery so far.
  11. Thank you so much for helping me yesterday! ❤️
  12. The pain has passed, thank God. Thank you so much!! It will be a long time before I ever eat broccoli!
  13. Lotte22, everyone is different. I, too, read all the posts where people felt great, and I thought I was crazy. The first week I felt horrible. The first few days were spent focusing on simply getting 64 oz of water. The protein was an added bonus if I drank any. I was on pain meds for one week. If you are drinking 64 oz of water each day, you will be okay. It’s difficult, but if you can get past the one week mark, things do become easier.
  14. Thank you so much. I don’t know what I was thinking.
  15. I have been so hungry. Thank you.
  16. Had bypass on 12/13. Today is first day of eating soft foods. I was trying to get in protein, but after eating cooked broccoli and extremely soft beef, I am in terrible pain. I may have eaten too fast. I don’t know. How long will is last? Any info is welcome. Please help. 70 year old hw 275 cw 235
  17. I’m 70. I don’t know what the difference in people is, but the surgery knocked me for a loop. I was surviving on water for days. But i’m Feeling better now, so all is good. Hungry!!
  18. I wouldn’t do it right before Christmas, though!! What was I thinking???
  19. My surgery was 12/13/17. It has been extremely difficult especially the first week. I’m doing much better now. I am much older than anyone i’ve read on the forum, so maybe that was the reason for the difficulty. Would I do it again? I don’t know yet.
  20. My doc says the 64 oz of water is completely separate. You cannot use your protein drinks, etc. to apply o the 64 oz. If this isn’t true, I would sure like to know because i’m gonna be mad.
  21. After your plastic surgery, try changing your hair color or wear it in a different style. People may think that’s what’s making you look so good. ?
