My swimming pool has turned into a giant mouse/moles trap -- ugh -- Oh, and we got a bat once, too.

haha I can only imagine how bad it will be! Will have to warn my husband of this and the month of hormonal chaos after :-)
  4. I can only imagine that you feel so.damn.great with the extra weight gone. Good job!!!!
  5. I feel the same way -- I am 53 and I have 30 more years in me, if I live as long as my family. Thats a lot of years!
  6. Yes I am worried!! But I have 3 common comorbidities -- such is life as you grow older (I am 53).
  7. @FluffyChick Some second guessing right before and after surgery sound pretty normal to me! :-) My next appt with surgeon is in two weeks and my fingers are crossed!
  8. So you decided to go for it ASAP instead of waiting until after the holidays -- good for you!!! OK, I'm jealous, haha, maybe my surgeon will move me up at my next appt. I'll be through all of the pre-quals.
  9. Mine! 6 months. I started in August, so I'm late Jan/Feb timeframe, too.
  10. 1:1.618 is the golden ratio found in nature and design, so 62% to 38% is what I'm looking for
  11. This is a really good question -- I stand by my comment above, but I totally get waiting until after the holidays, mainly to shield my surgery from others.
  12. I would do it tomorrow if I could. I've had TG for quite a few years, but, still, tomorrow.
  13. xoxo, how are you doing? Did you have surgery already (forgive me if you have posted this somewhere else on the bariatricpal website).
  14. Taylor5, I hope you chose to stick with it. I agree that its a pretty exhaustive (and exhausting) pre-op checklist we go through. On the positive side, we have a good understanding of our baseline health going into surgery.
  15. 65 pounds in 10 weeks is AWESOME! I'm sorry you can't see the difference, because I can! I hope that changes for you soon. Are you doing measurements regularly, too?
  16. So far I am scheduled to be a sleever. But I since learned I have a hiatal hernia, am I am not sure how that will impact things. Fluffy, sorry to hear about the precancerous cells.
  17. What Finnix said...and Hoping I didnt bully anyone...
  18. Very good advice -- I am a good example of someone who waited too long and is dealing with complications.
  19. I posted earlier that I was only telling husband and sons, but since told my mother. Big mistake. Don't follow in my footsteps!!!!
  20. Indeed! I have to add, losing the "filter" happens with dementia. You should raise THAT with her, lol.
  21. No filter whatsoever -- that is quite the reaction for you to deal with. And the question about the kids -- LOLOL, is she also denying your husband parental rights?? Ack, best wishes to you, you will be fine, and your life expectancy and quality will be better when you lose EBW.
  22. Ditto above, that is an unpleasant symptom to say the least!! A few years ago, I was SURE I was having a heart attack, but in the ER and subsequent cardio appt, was diagnosed wit -- as you predicted for yourself -- esophageal spasms.
  23. Fluffy, its just the average. Have you ever been average in your life? I didnt think so. Go out there and beat the odds!
  24. Following up on Waler's post, here's an "acceptable" goal for % fat: Men 18-25% Women 25-31% Article also suggests waist to hip ratio (<0.80) and waist to height ratio (waist = half of height) are also good for determining weight loss goals. https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/info/obesity/waist-to-hip-height.php
