  1. Oh my gosh! Thank you all so very much for the positive words! I really needed them! I can't thank you all enough. Your kindness means the world. I'm going to call my doctor today regarding the hiatal hernia. Your weight losses are so inspiring. I hope I do as well as you all are doing! Thank you again.
  2. Wow! I hope I can do that. I want to be able to drink water. It's the food I don't want! lol
  3. Hi!! Yes!! I am starting tomorrow and I have the same surgery date as you! You're pre-op diet sounds much better than mine. I have to do ALL liquids. I'm also doing the Premier shakes. 4 a day plus things like broth, sugar free jello or pudding, low-sodium V-8 Juice. The closest thing to solid I can have is some cream of wheat! But I'm determined to stick to it and start off on the right foot. I can't wait to get healthy! Let's keep in touch...
  4. Hi there! I have to say....I was so glad to see your post. I am 2 weeks pre-op and was reading some of the posts about how people can't get anything down much less keep it down. Some are even having trouble with water! It was really scaring me. I understand why you probably aren't happy with the fact that you are not feeling full since having the surgery is to feel full quicker. I would ask my doctor about it. I'm hoping there is a happy place somewhere in-between keeping water down and not feeling full. I hope everything works out for you. Best of luck!!!
  5. Hello, I am starting my pre-op liquid diet tomorrow and my surgery is scheduled for 2 weeks from now. I've been reading some of the posts and they are really scaring me. I was nervous before but also very excited about changing this part of my life. Is there anyone out there that has had a positive post-op experience? Also, is it true that if you have reflux prior to surgery that it will get worse after? Thank you so much.
  6. Thank you everyone for your input and kind words.
  7. I'm having the sleeve surgery in January. I need to lose 185 pounds. Realistically, is it possible to lose that much if I do what I'm supposed to and change my lifestyle and how long do you think it would take? Has anyone else started at around 325 and lost 185 pounds after the sleeve surgery? Thank you in advance.
  8. Hello....thank you so much!! It seems like a wonderful website. I'll definitely be checking it out regularly. Thank you for posting!!!
  9. Thank you so much!! Congratulations on the weight you've lost!! Thank you for reaching out to me. It helps to know someone is there to talk to who is going through the same thing you are.:)
  10. That's awesome!! Congrats on your progress so far. I was really nervous starting this whole journey but now I am getting excited and can't wait for my procedure. Seeing how it works for everyone makes me feel a lot better about the choice I am making.
  11. Hi, nice to meet you! We aren't too far away from each other. How is it going? How are you feeling?

Is there anybody near Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area in PA who would like to chat. I'm completely new to the forum. I just started the pre-surgical work to have my procedure in January. I believe I'm going with the sleeve. I would love to make some new friends who can relate to this whole experience. Thank you!!
