I have quit carbonated drinks, trying to start not drinking when i eat (that not as easy as it sounds), also i work out 3 to 4 days a week...

I have to do 6 months med supervised weight loss, Psych eval, cardiac clearance, NUT appt, exercise class, support group and and endoscopy b4 my insurance and surgeon will approve me. I should be done middle of november or so then surgery 2017... From what I have read, every surgeon and insurance is different, so when you go to the Dr for your first appt they will tell you everything you have to do b4 surgery. I have not gotten a date yet but my projected month is December 2017... I won't know for sure until middle November. I cannot wait I am in Tennessee, but my surgery is at St Thomas in Nashville...

mine if from my hospital, According to her it is 3 appts in 3 months they go by the month not the number of days... she says that is the case for most insurance so if u have a 3 month requirement then 1 appt aprox 4 weeks apart in 3 separate months is good

I had my psych eval last week and i am wondering how long it will take for the dr to get my results... My program requires my psych clearance before i can do any of the other requirements... So does anyone have any idea how long I am going to have to wait...

I chose bypass because of my type 2 diabetes... my doctor told me that patient with type 2 diabetes have a really high like 70-80% cure rate with gastric bypass... If i did not have that i would probably go with the sleeve.

Sounds like you are on the same timeline that I am... I have had 4 of 6 weigh ins with my doctor and my psych eval, waiting to hear back to schedule my NUT, endoscopy etc... looking at surgery dec 2017 or jan 2018... good luck.

There are way to many counselors that will completely support your decision to stick with this negative one you r seeing... find someone who will support you and take control of your life and health.
