  1. I was reffered to Dr. Sanchez by a friend that had the gastric banding in September. She is doing great!(-50lbs) Also, the only doctor in my area that performs the lap band had only done 3, was trained by Dr. Sanchez. SInce I was self-pay he recommended Dr. Sanchez. The hospital was nicer than any hospital I've ever been in. The only problem I had was understanding the people in Mexico. I speak no Spanish at all. If you don't speak the language, I suggest getting a translation book or an electronic translator from Radio Shack. Bring shopping money!! I went shopping the day I got out of the hospital. The clothes, purses, & shoes are so cute down there. My sister went with me. If you can take someone with you, i think it makes the trip better.
  2. Hi Amy! Welcome to LBT! Dr. Sanchez did my band for me. He & his staff are wonderful. Good luck! I promise you will be so happy with you decision to be banded.
  3. I'm a newbie here. I was banded on 11/18/2005 by Dr. Sanchez in Monterrey, MX. I've lost 25 lbs thus far. I go for my first fill on 1/13/2005. I can't wait. Y'all have helped to encourage me & inform me as I continue on this journey. Thanks so much!
  4. I paid 9,000 plus airfare for two so around 10,000. Fills will be $450 where I live so its still adding up but worth every penny!!
