  1. I've been stuck at the same weight of 232/233 since 7/31. I was sleeved 7/6. I even gain 2 pounds and went to 235 for a few days. Why is this? Will the scale start back moving any time soon?

    Rate of weight loss?

I think everyone is different and I agree it's a tool. I was sleeved 7/6 and I've lost 34 pds. I didn't lose anything for 30 days and the scale just started back moving. I lost most of my weight right after surgery. Like a pd or 2 a day. I struggled a along time to lose weight and I am glad I did it. At least I am losing and keeping it off this time. No regrets no rush. I do need to increase my exercise.
  3. Scale just started moving a little. Its been 5wks. UGG! My doctor told me to increase my water and that did seem to help.
  4. I am thinking I am not eating enough. I know i am only getting in around 600 maybe 700 calories
  5. Thank you for the information. Good to know. No milkshakes this way. Good thing is i really don't have a sweet tooth. Just a potato lover
  6. So basically its just the normal body performance. It's nothing I'm doing?
  7. I hear it suppose to be the norm. Same thing my doc said too but when you get use to seeing 2/3 pounds dropping every day it becomes disappointing when it just stop to nothing.
  8. A lot of people say 2wks or even less. NOT ME! I took 6wks of short term disability which my job paid me at 100%. Even if they didn't I wanted to focus on me. The deep stitch they do where the stomach is pulled out took a long time to feel better also I had a lot of fatigue. This was alot to process for me in general so I took my time. My PCP extended my leave but Surgeon kind of made me feel rushed.

    Lonely

My boyfriend or whatever you call him...lol and my best friend recorded me. Girl I was a complete mess. Once they start pumping those drugs in you...you will have no worries. Everything will be fine. It is like they rolled me into a party. lol. It has taken some getting use to. i was 3wks post op yesterday. It is a struggle finding pureed foods for me but I'm making it. Also only being able to eat about a ounce and a half of food seems a little weird.

    Lonely

I felt like it wasn't coming fast enough and then it was like wait I'm not ready all the way up until the time they rolled me back to surgery. Which surgery are you having? I had the sleeve

    Hey hun!
  15. Is this the normal return back to work time-frame for this surgery. I at least want to introduce my stomach to soft foods and be out of pain.

First Time Drinking Alcohol Post Op

I'm trying to understand why wine would be a problem or anything under 7%. They gave me hydrcodone and it has 7% alcohol.

    Poop

First I tried ground flaxseed in my protein shakes. I didn't really like it so I didn't do it long enough to know if it works. That was the 1st thing my surgeon recommended. I have been drinking benefiber in my water and it works for me.

    The irony

Post op liquid diet is easier than pre op for me.
  19. Me too and when my morphine drip was ending I lost it. Worse pain I've ever felt.
  20. Hey we got the same surgery date. Yeah. I don't think it will be a problem. I was in shock because I didn't know a return date was set. I see the doctor Monday for the 1st time since surgery. I found out my STD was approved until Tuesday today but once I speak to the doc i am sure he can extend it. The expectation on returning so soon seemed quick to me.
  21. I agree with the beginning similarities. My 1st C-section was not bad at all. The 2nd was horrible and worse than the sleeve. Maybe because I got a tubal as well. The thought of cutting the stomach and removing it seems like it would be worse though. Good luck on your return to work. I am still jumpy when anyone comes near my stomach and public transportation I would completely freak out.
  22. Yes I have the time. That is great 3 miles . Go you! Excellent! I walk but it's about 45 mins a day. I was up day of surgery. I've had 2 cesareans so I know how important it is to get to moving,
  23. Thanks guys but its no way I am going back. I want to give my body time to heal. I am a processor and we are at a high demand right now. Job is stressful due to the high pipeline on one person. My stomach use to hurt just from the stress. I sat at my desk without hardly taking a lunch break. I would be eat at my desk. When you go to the bathroom you could tell alot of people would be holding it because of the length of time they were releasing..lol. On top of people sitting on top of you.. so close...uggg. My incisions need to be completely heal for physical and mental comfort. All that coughing, hacking, and sneezing from surrounding areas. lol. I am just venting because I just found out what my return is suppose to be from Metlife call today. I see my surgeon Monday and I will let him know. NO WAY. All in all I am doing well. I am fighting to get in over 400 calories. I drink the Oh Yeah shakes 32 grams protein and 3grams sugar 200 calories each. I am getting about 48ozs of water and i eat about 3oz of homemade chicken broth. I bought some premier tropical punch drinks with 20grams of protein and no sugar today. We will see what that taste like but all in all I am well with a little belly pain.

Jamiebatke. I agree a walk around Walmart would be great. This liquid diet is also boring and I am excited about the puree stage just so I can have more than I have now. I am all about healing right now though and scared to even think of actually eating. I do not want any problems. I am ready to heal and workout. I am so determine to be successful with this. I wish you the best as well

Fortner22 stay strong. I have had 2 cesareans and a tubal before. 40 yrs old. I think we all handle pain differently. I forced myself to get up and move around the day of surgery. it really helps. I gauged myself with the small 30 cc/1oz cups they gave me in the hospital on my water and protein intake. If you are not getting anything in you will be nauseated. They gave me meds for that but i never needed to use them. I have been eating jello and broth as well. Also I have a lemon and ginger non caffeinated tea. Try something warm. The tea is by Bigelow.
