  6. Congrats on your approval letter! I'm also pre-op and have a low key job and don't want everyone to know. I don't discuss my weight with all my co-workers, so why would I discuss this? One thing I'm considering after following other people who have been thru surgery is that you might need a couple weeks just to get your energy and adjust to getting in enough liquids. Hopefully you'll get some responses from others who've had vsg. Sent from my SM-G550T1 using BariatricPal mobile app

  8. I have Providence health plan and I'm required to do 3 month medically supervised weight loss of 5% and see the program's dietitian, surgeon consult, nurse coordinator and psych appts and after that plus any required testing, all will be sent to ins for surgery approval. When I get frustrated at this process, my husband encourages me and reminds me to stay the course. Sent from my SM-G550T1 using BariatricPal mobile app

  12. I think you should err on the side of caution with chest pain and call your surgeon's office or PCP. It could be gerd/reflux, but always good to call and check. Sent from my SM-G550T1 using BariatricPal mobile app

  15. Hi Brandi! I'm just starting too [emoji3] I have my surgeon and Nurse coordinator appts on 6/30 and that's when I get to officially start my insurance required 3 month supervised weight loss. Expecting to have surgery some time in October. My husband is very supportive. He says he needs to keep in shape to keep up with me after I have surgery.
