  1. If that's what's stopping you. Maybe your making the right choice. It's not actually so bad. I drink 20 mins after eating. I'm 7m post. If I forget and drink it hurts and I vommit lol. But 20 minutes of chit chat then have a drink doesn't make much difference to me anymore. Sent from my Vivo 5R using Tapatalk
  2. It's between you and your surgeon. We don't know your entire history . There are pros and cons to everything and depending on the person some cons may be worth it. So no one really can say. I'm happy with my sleeve. Sent from my Vivo 5R using Tapatalk
  3. I've never seen someone with one lap band for 40 years. I didn't think that was possible. ? Sent from my Vivo 5R using Tapatalk
  4. I feel the same in my mind. But know everyone is different but I can't waste all this money to still be over weight. I saw someone say they don't want to get under 200 lbs and they are near my height of 5.2/5.3 I think each to their own as I imagine it's hard to picture your self smaller when you're bigger. But they say people gain 10/20lbs for various reasons after years at goal. So to do this surgery to hover at 220lbs at goal seems not good for me. But I can't say anything about anyone else's journey. I can't wait to get to a normal bmi. I also hear people say that they don't believe in bmi and go by how they look and feel. That makes perfect sense. It just means alot to me to be classed as less risk of health issues related to obesity we all know we can still get them normal weight too. But I'd prefer to be in the less risk category. Sent from my Vivo 5R using Tapatalk **** . Very sorry guys I'm on tapa talk and it came up in my list didn't think to check what forum it was in. Will exit. Don't jump on me lol.
  5. Sorry just saw December so about two months out. Seems abit to soon to me for some of your food choices in terms of maximising your loss but I'm no expert. Whatever your surgeon says is ok. I'm 7 months post op and can't eat half a sandwich. Some people can. But make sure your eating slowely to allow your self to slowely recognise when you've had enough. Your Cal's seem good though higher than mine I've seen people on higher but also seen people on lower so whatever works Sent from my Vivo 5R using Tapatalk
  6. I prefer to lose more than 1lb a week. My surgeon says things like sandwiches and tortilla chips are not a good idea. But it's your plan and if your happy continue. How far out are you Sent from my Vivo 5R using Tapatalk
  7. I agree that also. If you plan on breastfeeding it is best to leave your breasts alone till your done. Not everyone but alot of people have issues breastfeeding after they have had breasts done. Sent from my Vivo 5R using Tapatalk
  8. I've had two kids. And id feel like it would be a waste of money if I did it before. My stomach was ruined lol. My surgeon said wait till 2 year post op. I'm happy with that give my body time to adjust. As you have a goal weight and sometimes still continue to lose as your weightloss stabalizes. Sent from my Vivo 5R using Tapatalk
  9. It's not a lie. Many people do not feel hunger. Many people do feel hunger. Both normal. I don't think everyones surgeon is lying to them when he tells them their hunger will be reduced . The part of the stomach that produces ghrenlin .. some of it is removed. Many people don't feel hunger and need to force them self to eat and they do not have sickness. Some people start of really hungry and as they go further out .. they suddenly have no hunger. Some it's like full on growling. And then a few bites and they are full. Everyone is different but one isn't a lie because it doesn't fit into your situation. Everyone gets different results. The people I know who used my surgeon have been similar to me in having severe hunger at first. And then no hunger about 3 months in. I'm very great ful. They don't have sickness and are just progressing normally. I have one day spurts of hunger that replicates a toddler eating to accommodate a growth spurt but few and far between and I'm 7 months post . I did have sickness early on but I was still hungry being sick doesn't stop you from being hungry it makes you not want to eat sure. lol so I'm not sure on your information . But I'd love to see a link to the source. Sent from my Vivo 5R using Tapatalk
  10. My feeling of hunger didn't deminish till month three. However when I feel hungry every now and again it's easily satisfiable hunger . Like a few bites of protein and I'm full 7 months out. Your still healing I remember severe growling pains around that stage. It gets easier. Don't doubt you will succeed. Your feelings are all normal Sent from my Vivo 5R using Tapatalk
  11. Water flavourings really help.. but it took me awhile to get more than 1.5 litres. I was told to take 20/30 mins to eat. And then move on. I'm 7 months post if I allow myself two hours to eat I'd probably eat a hell of a lot. That doesn't seem ideal at all to me. What was the length of time to eat recommended ? I think super early out id track the amount of food just to make sure your not eating too much as some people don't feel full at first. You shouldn't be having big portions that take you 2 hours to Finnish. What are you eating and how much ? Most of us have lose skin whether we excerise or not. But there are many home excersises you can do. Not everyone goes to the gym. Google and youtube will have some work outs that may suit your needs. Sent from my Vivo 5R using Tapatalk
  12. Wow. Bacon and steak I can't live without . At first I hated bacon. Now .. I eat it all the time. That is odd. Sent from my Vivo 5R using Tapatalk
  13. Just protein shakes isn't sufficient for you. What's your daily eating like ? Sent from my Vivo 5R using Tapatalk
  14. Flat soda was actually written in my plan too. I don't drink soda any more really but had one diet Coke mixed with water and ice the other day when I was out with friends and it was actually nice lol Sent from my Vivo 5R using Tapatalk
  15. I wouldn't. For 20lbs ? Go back to basics of protein protein protein. And. Bite of veg. No processed the last 20 will be off in no time. Be paitent it takes longer the closer you are. Sent from my Vivo 5R using Tapatalk
  16. So your not going to tell us what your eating ? As that's the only way someone can help perhaps suggest you swapping something etc. Sent from my Vivo 5R using Tapatalk
  17. Oh yeah. I know alot of people that make them selves vommit. They don't know each other. So there for seems to be the norm.. No. Alot people doing a behavior doesn't make something normal. Sent from my Vivo 5R using Tapatalk
  18. People just swap one eating disorder( binge eating ) for another. And it's very sad. People don't see the long term effects they don't realise. A. Calories are still going in. B. The tummy prepares to digest food that isn't coming and the acid build up can be really bad for the stomach. It's a shame people think this is something normal. Sent from my Vivo 5R using Tapatalk
  19. No ?!!! Never.. I'm confused by the question. Why would I miss 76lbs of fat? I'm still desperate to get rid of the last 30. Sent from my Vivo 5R using Tapatalk
  20. Phew i read it back and I was not sure how it came across lol
  21. Well. I am super confident when I am out, Because pre surgery I was invisible, now I constantly get attention and people are so much nicer to me now. People constantly say I dont realise how pretty I am and its nice people being attracted to me. But its all superficial when I go home and I am on my own, though I know i have changed it all feels FAKE, I still feel I look the same sometimes apart from when I wear my old clothes. So I find how people are towards me odd. Since the weightloss though I love dressing glam but I sometimes want to be ignored at the same time lol I dont like the saggy stomach/boobs but better than being sick and unwell and bigger. ** Dont get me wrong though my true friends are still my true friends from when I was bigger, keep your eyes open with newer friends
  22. His nut saying no doesn't mean that is the case for the next persons plan..
  23. For alot of people the ketogenic diet means a diet that puts you into ketosis ( Under aprox 20g of carbs for alot of people) The most famous variation is most likely the high fat type. But there are many people in ketosis without the high fat part. Many peoples bariatric plan calls for under 20g of carbs a day, mine does not. But they seem successful.
  24. Different things work for different people. Thats my view. What works for me is, I do not intentionally eat low carb. Infact I do not really track, every now and again I will weigh food to see how I am doing. My plan does not call for me to track. I follow the rules of protein first, after that I eat veg like spinach paired with some dairy like cheese. I do allow myself other things too.. For me when I am in a natural stall as it happens. I am too impatient to wait for it to be over so my tool then will be to intentionally lower my carbs if I thought it went abit higher. By focusing more on protein for a few meals. I could not care less on what is or is not a fad , I do not follow anyone elses plan as it can get tricky if you pick up all the variations there are on here. But to answer your question my team prefers low fat low calorie not low carb high fat. I prefer... To just see how I feel and try and be healthy and do what I can .. then hope for the best.
  25. You are welcome. I understand , Commit each day to succeeding to the next day, its less over whelming that way
