    Before and After Pics

Pic on the left was Ford ST SUV Experience 2020, Right was Ford ST SUV Experience 2023. Exactly 3 years to the day. Surgery was Jan 2021. Still not at "my" goal, but getting there slowly. Need to buckle down a bit. Funniest part about these pics is that you can see my belt!

Guys who started over 400 lbs.

You doing the sleeve or the bypass? I have had great success with the sleeve. Started at 417, 379 the day of the surgery 1/29/2021, currently at 285.
  8. Finally broke the 300 mark, and now weighing in at 296 as of today. First time in the 200's in 20+ years. Never thought i could do it, the sleeve is the ticket. I have started walking in the last two months, and i'm up to 3.5-6 miles a day walks. When did everyone else start lifting weights? A friend of mine told me she thought my face lost a lot of weight. Until i saw the pic on the left in my facebook memories, i didn't believe it. Now i do.

How are all the 400+ers doing? I am doing really well, and very happy with my decision.

    THE DREADED STALLS!

I hate the stalls too, but don't worry, it will break. I just broke one, and it took weeks! You will get there!
  11. Six Months out, 113lbs down overall, 75 since surgery, a few questions: 1) Hiccups, anyone else have them after eating? 2) Started walking more to spur more loss to get into the 200's, and have found that i stagger a bit when walking. Anyone else notice this? I'm getting between 3.5 to 5 miles a day in, and my wife has went with me a few times, and has notice i stagger a little. I'm guessing it's due to being lighter? 3) When to buy new clothes? Everything is falling off me, but I'm holding out. Bought a set of suspenders to keep my pants up. Just don't want to spend a lot of money, only to spend it again when i drop another 20-30lbs.

I can't make up my mind!

I just said "eff it, i'm doin it". So glad i did. The davinci was so easy! No pain at all. It has been a breeze. Now I find myself "wanting" to take walks to lose more. Averaging about 3.5 to 5 miles a day walking, and loving it. Just know the sleeve isn't as restrictive as the bypass. I eat everything I used to, just much smaller amounts. I can't tell you about coffee, because I never drank the stuff to begin with. I live on Gatorade Zero and Water now.
  13. 100lbs Gone since the beginning of this, and 62lbs down since the surgery. So far, so good. Wondering though if anyone else has issues with what I call vapor lock when drinking. It's where you take too big a sip on something and you end up with it sticking around in your chest for a bit.
  14. Curious... How long before you could eat your first piece of pizza? It seems as if each doctor has a different diet plan for before/after surgery. For instance, my surgery was 1/29/2021. I am on 2 weeks liquids to include Protein shakes, Protein Water, Water, Yogurt, Fat free/sugar free pudding and low fat ricotta. then i go to 1 to 6 months of soft foods, to include ground meat, deli slices, non-fat cheeses, etc then on to solids again. My main thing is pizza. I just want to know realistically when I will be able to eat it again. I don't want any lectures on how i shouldn't. I'm only wanting one slice vs the 4 or 5 I used to eat. So spare me the anger.
  15. WOW! Awesome results! I'm 45lbs down from surgery. I walk 1.5 miles a day, but a bum knee keeps me from doing much more. You doing that all with the surgery, or are you a work out machine?

    January 2021 sleeves

I had mine on two days later on Jan 29th. I am down 41lbs since then. Hit a stall at 37lbs but it finally started losing. Hoping doing yardwork will help start the losing even more.
  17. You are looking at the days since surgery on my tracker, not the weight. I'm down 41lbs since the surgery on Jan 29th, and 80lbs overall since the start of this whole ordeal. The stalls suck! I was at one for a while at 343, and now i'm finally losing again at 337.
  18. Well, happy to say 1 piece of pizza I can do. Minus the "pizza bone". But at least i can have most of a slice without much trouble. I am having an issue of right after I eat anything not soft, having a stuck feeling for a bit, but it eventually goes away.
