  15. My surgeon told me to wait a year to drink any kind of alcohol. That’s going to be hard for me because I like to have a drink on my birthday and I had my sleeve December 5th 2017 and my birthday is January 28th.
  16. I had my sleeve on December 5th. In my hometown of San Antonio, Texas and my surgeon was Dr. Wright and he is an awesome surgeon!!
  17. My surgeon and nutritionist told my to wait a year before having an alcoholic drink. I am not a drinker. I only have a drink at my birthday or Christmas Eve. I just had my sleeve on December 5th so I am too scared to try a drink at Christmas Eve this year. Has anybody had a drink three or four weeks after surgery?
  18. I will look up Peter Fisher. Thanks! I am not in that stage yet but I want to start doing research because I had my sleeve a week ago and I lost a lot of weight before my surgery. I was 557 lbs. in May 2016. December 13th 2017 I am down to 371 lbs. now that I had my sleeve I know I will be losing weight fast. I already lost 10 lbs. in a week. So I want to do research and pick my top 5 plastic surgeon’s that I want to talk to and ask questions. Ask about cost and stuff so I can try and save up money.
  19. I was wondering if anybody in San Antonio, Texas has had skin removal surgery? What surgeon’s do you recommend? Did you have to pay for the skin removal surgery? How much did it cost? What weight were you at when you had the skin removal? How much weight did you lose?
  20. I was wondering if anybody has used www.wlsfa.org to help pay for your weight loss surgery or and plastic surgery? If you have a patient who needs financial help or are a patient looking for financial help to get weight loss surgery or reconstructive plastic surgery you might be eligible to apply for a grant from the Weight Loss Surgery Foundation of America. This is a little bit of a description of www.wlsfa.org: If you have been medically approved for weight loss surgery or reconstructive plastic surgery after weight loss surgery and have been denied surgery for financial reasons you might be eligible to apply for a grant from the Weight Loss Surgery Foundation of America. I was wondering if anybody had applied for a grant for weight loss surgery or reconstructive plastic surgery? I wanted to know if these people really do help financially! I am asking because I will need help paying for my reconstructive plastic surgery. Vanessa
  21. I have some questions for you women who have already had the sleeve and had kids after the surgery. My name is Vanessa and I am 36 years old and I have always wanted to have kids but my doctors always said that is not safe to have kids because of my weight. I was 550 lbs. May 2016 and now I am 456 lbs. May 2017. I am still trying to lose more weight. In September I hope to have my sleeve surgery. I want to have a baby but I am not sure if it is safe to get pregnant right away or a couple of months after surgery or 6 to 12 months after surgery? I would love to hear everybody's helpful advice and comments please!! I really want a baby and I feel like my clock is ticking! I have all these crazy feeling and emotions about wanting a baby or babies!! Am I losing my mind or going crazy?!
  22. That's what my weight loss surgeon told me but not everybody listens to the doctors!! lol
