Allergy to milk

Does anyone else out there have an actual allergy to milk? I don’t mean you are lactose intolerant. I mean a real allergy. I break out in a rash if I drink too much milk. This is causing a problem for my protein shakes. Most want you to mix with milk, whether it is 2%, whole, or skim. I can’t have any of it. I tried almond milk and coconut milk, but they were way too rich. I can drink the muscle milk because it has no milk in it. I’ve been experimenting with the Fairlife, but I’m not sure if it’s going to work or not. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Try plant based or vegan varieties, the whey,is there as a protein source so you would to replace with one of the others. I'm sure there are vegan members on BP who can give you brand names. I would probably start with Whole Foods, GNC, Vitamin Shoppe or your local health food store. My late son was not lactose intolerant but casein intolerant. He could never use the Elmers Glue family for that reason., many people do not realize casein is the foundation for their products.[emoji275]

Thank you so much for the info. I have no idea what causes my allergy. But I’ll try whatever it takes to find a solution.

I can’t handle milk so I got my protein powder on amazon and I use almond milk. I get this protein powder in Vanilla and Chocolate.
