  1. We have similar stats, my SW was 262. Do you feel like any variable in particular has helped you towards your goal, so far?
  2. What is your exercise routine like? I want to start exercising more but I’m really struggling with low energy post surgery.
  3. One thing that I lost as I gained weight was the ability to have self expression through my fashion choices. I can’t wait to walk into any store and be able to find clothes that fit. I’m only a little over a month out of surgery, so the weight is only beginning to fall off. I’m already excited to be able to wear things that are “me” rather than choose from the few available options.
  4. Good guys are out there. Know your worth, and don’t waste time finding mr right, but staying with him. Organize your life and move on.
  5. Don’t sign up for an emotionally abusive relationship with him. He will tear down your self esteem and you will lose yourself. DTMFA
  6. You need SO LITTLE. I’d say one comfy outfit to leave in, and chapstick.
  7. That’s amazing! I’m down 23 (starting weight 262) you’re doing great!
  8. Thank you for the replies so far! I may try them, as they are such a convenient option!
  9. How is everyone doing on vitamins? I’m failing and my body is rejecting them. I’d love to try patches but have gotten mixed reviews.
  10. Hi! Are you still around? We are thinking of you and hope everything has worked out for you <3 update us if you can! No judgement here.
  11. You should contact the app developers, I’ve had a few issues since the most recent update too!
  12. I weighed myself yesterday, and have lost 23 pounds since surgery on 5/2. Of course, I wish it were more but I marks 50 lbs lost since I started the classes to prep for surgery in November, and over half a pound per day. I have never lost this much weight before! I am still in the same pant size I was wearing 50 pounds ago, but they are starting to feel a bit bigger, but still nothing substantial. It is amazing that I can lose this much weight and not feel a HUGE difference.
  13. I was told vitamin patches haven’t been tested well enough to be approved by my program (kaiser). Can anyone tell me about their experience, and lab results after taking them? Vitamins are making me nauseous and I know how important it is to get them in, but at 5 weeks post op, my body really doesn’t want them! Thanks!

  15. frustr8, my program said no prenatals- just take a women’s multi (men too!) plus two calcium chews. My issue is that the multi makes me nauseas and I really want to try the patches. Because they haven’t been tested as well as the regular multi vitamins have, they told us not to use them. But MAN would it be convenient! If anyone has feedback on the patches please let me know!
  16. I’m trying to stay away from the scale for this reason. I’d lost 14 pounds at my 2 week post op visit, then the next week the scale said I’d either not lost or have gained half a pound! Honestly, the idea that I could be going through all of this not to lose weight is tortuous. So I am only weighing myself at the doctors office.
  17. Is anyone else having trouble with their notifications on the phone app? Mine gives me an error message every time since the most recent update.
  18. Wow!! Congrats! That’s an amazing accomplishment! Any tips to offer us newbies?
  19. How is everyone’s energy level? I’m a month out and feeling easily fatigued.
  20. Did you end up having the surgery? How are you doing??
  21. Is anyone eating salads? How long did you wait? I’m technically 4 weeks out today.
  22. My surgeon said it doesn’t matter how long you wait, but you should lose the weight first because the main consequence may be a negative effect of weight loss, not on the pregnancy. So lose the weight, then get pregnant, it’s not necessarily a specific timeline.
  23. Dang that sounds rough! I’m amazed so many people do it, because it sounds to terrible [emoji51] I’ve heard you can’t stand up totally straight because the skin is so tight. Good for you for doing it! I’m glad you love your tummy! HW 289 SW 262 CW ? (5/14= 248lbs) VSG 5/2/18 [emoji92] Kaiser, Ontario - Dr. Chin
  24. How was having the tummy tuck, and recovery? I’ve heard it is brutal, but in the back of my mind I wonder if I’ll want to have one after kids. HW 289 SW 262 CW ? (5/14= 248lbs) VSG 5/2/18 [emoji92] Kaiser, Ontario - Dr. Chin
  25. Thank you all for the insight, so far! I really appreciate it. HW 289 SW 262 CW ? (5/14= 248lbs) VSG 5/2/18 [emoji92] Kaiser, Ontario - Dr. Chin
