I had vsg 4/4 and my first 24hrs of recovery was miserable! The nausea and dry heaving were horrible and i couldnt get comfortable. I am now 5 days post op and things are much better. I have officially started my vsg journey! Anyone else at this stage? And a couple other questions how is your support system? How is your significant other handling it? I ask because mine says he's supportive but has concerns about after surgery...like if I lose a bunch of weight I will leave him if I start getting attention from other people. I am actually at my first appt today. My insurance requires a 6 month pre-op requirement and I'll also have to see a dietitian once a month for the 6 months and see a physical therapist and a psychologist. I have been over weight majority of my life. But I think the breaking point was when everything happened at once last month I was diagnosed with PCOS and hypothyroidism, my feet, ankles and knees starting hurting all the time and I hit my top weight at 302.
