Liver Shrinking Diet - 45 grams of carbs
Ten days prior to surgery, I will only be able to have 3 shakes a day and clear liquids. That's why I guess I was kind of freaking a little today. I mean, this is just day one of the low carb diet, so overall, I have done well today. I guess I just didn't realize how just about everything has carbs in it! I kind of tripped out when I saw that even my vitamins have carbs! Lol! Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app

Liver Shrinking Diet - 45 grams of carbs
Hi everyone! I just started the "Liver Shrinking diet" prior to surgery. We are to have no more than 45 carbs per day, and I'm having a hard time with it. I keep thinking, if I can't do this, I am going to die for sure on the ten day liquid diet right before surgery! Any pointers anyone? Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app

Band Removal and Sleeve in one surgery ... what should I expect?
I'm anxious but excited too. I'm sure my anxiety will go through the roof once I get a surgery date. But one of my cousins had the sleeve done a year and a half ago, and she has done great! No issues, and amazing weight loss! Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app

Band Removal and Sleeve in one surgery ... what should I expect?
They are definitely moving my up due to it now being medically necessary, but I don't know when yet. I talked to my doctor's office yesterday, and I go back the second week of June for the sleeve nutrition class and my weigh in. I was also told yesterday that it normally takes up to 30 days to be insurance approval, but that they are going to push it due to medical necessity. So we'll see! Please keep us posted on your journey!!

How are you doing since your surgery? I just found out yesterday that my band has slipped, and I'm wondering if my doctor will schedule my surgery sooner. Five days.... wow!! Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app

Lap band to Sleeve Conversion
Oh I wish you the best!! If you don't mind my asking, why are you converting to the sleeve? As for myself, I would never get below 200 pounds, which is a lot for someone 5'3". And then, even though I was working out everyday and watching what I ate, I started gaining what I had lost back. Then I got injured a couple of years ago, and couldn't work out for a while, then it seemed like everything started getting stuck and coming back up. Without consciously realizing it, I started eating slider foods, and never made myself start working out again. So here I am, having gained over half of what I lost back. It just makes me sick because I worked so hard. Now I hear that they're starting to wean the band out completely. Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app

Lap band to Sleeve Conversion
How many have had the lap band and then converted to the sleeve? And what issues, if any, did you have during this process? And are you happy you did it? I'm in the process of HOPEFULLY converting my band that I got in 2012 to a sleeve late summer or early fall. Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app
