  1. Well, I'm 5'6 and my goal is 155 just under over weight that'll work for me. hope to reach it by this time next year. good luck to everyone on there goals. :biggrin2:
  2. You're not doing anything wrong everyone is differant, 13lbs of mine was on my 2wk pre op and 14lbs since surgery on 7/22. they say if you lose before a fill it's a added bonus alot of people gain after the post op diet and before their first fill. so keep up the good work that's 12lbs you don't have to worry about anymore.
  3. everyone is doing great, imagen what we'll be posting here this time next year.
  4. Your doing great on your weight loss, I have faith in you. You'll do fine.
  5. That's really great, Keep up the good work.
  6. I had mine in Jaurez also but DR gave me 2wks worth of pain meds. I'm just saying it wasn't the worst pain i ever felt but my port site was really sore for a while. still is sometimes. breast reduct & lift and tummy tuck pain about a 4 lapband pain about a 6 I still can't sleep on my tummy it makes my port feel like it's shoved up under my ribs. just so you know i had the tt 2yrs ago and the breast about 5mo. ago. kinda backwards i guess but hey that's me. wish i had done the lapband first, it would have made more since. live and learn
  7. I agree, I really don't think those biscuits are gonna help. remember we still have to make good food choices with or without restriction.
  8. When i got banded i joined a thread on this site for whiney babies because it hurt so much so i know how you feel but it gets better i promise you that good luck
  9. you go baby, sing away you deserve it.(in 2mo. big WOW)
  10. leslie2lose, great idea about the pic
  11. I went to Mexico, it cost me 7000.00 and yes i did have a pre op(2wks) I picked Mexico because of the price, i'm a self pay. and because of my doc's experance he's done over 5000 lapbands It was a great experance and the hospital was the cleanest i have ever been in more like a spa, the people were really nice like they are really glad your there. their were 7 of us that showed up for surgery the same day and we hung out togather the 3 days i was there and we still email each other to track progress, so i got my band and made new friends. so far all is well
  12. Well, I was banded on 7/22 and have lost 26lbs as of last sat.(i only weigh on sat.) 13 of it was on the 2wk pre op & 13lbs post op but i've only lost 1lbs the past 2wks and i feel kinda stuck. waiting for that perfect fill. i think i'll do better when i can do more exercise. not that i'm a big exercise person or anything it's kinda like pulling teeth with me but i'm gonna just have to get over that. anyway congrats to all and happy losing.
  13. I'm not a frozen food eater eather, and to be honest i really can't think of any one thing that i feel like i just can't wait to have. i get hungry but most of the stuff i used to go crazy for doesn't even apeal(sp) to me right now. But i do think i will try to find the book. oh! and i'm gonna try that chicken stuff everyone keeps talking about, and i can do that to night.
  14. that's what i was saying and i'm where your at. banded on the 22nd and starting real food sunday and i can't eather. i think i'm gonna try to start with deli meat, what about you?
  15. 26lbs is good, remember even with a fill the average loss is 1 to 2lbs a week. you've already done better then that. I think we would all like to see the weight just vanish but it just doesn't work that way. earlier this week I felt the same way. but I snapped out of it when I read someones post that was having trouble with their band and I realized how lucky I was to be trouble free and losing weight even if it is slow. good luck to you and happy losing
  16. lovesgrapes, thx, i'll try that tonight
  17. laurst2, glad to have you join us not so good on the exercise myself but i'm trying. i'll be glad when i can go back to curves, somehow that just doesn't seem as bad once i finely get through the door.
  18. PDX, it may not sound that good but this is what i look forward to these days:refried beans w/lowfat cheese and lowfat sour cream on top, i can only eat less then 1/2 a cup, but it keeps me full for awhile. I also like crabcakes w/o the breading, i bake them in the oven and just pick them up carefully. jimmy dean cheese omlet 4oz. good luck
  19. Orea, as always thx for the kind words. i'm a retired stylist and an instructor, i know how much a good hair cut and color can do. it took me a long time to cut my waist length hair. but i'm so glad i did i really love the short hair.
  20. Boos02, Thx I'm keepin the faith
  21. carmille, sorry to hear of your trouble and i'm really glad your feeling better. good luck on your fill. can't wait till i get one or two or how ever many it takes to find that sweet spot so i can get this party started.
  22. I was told to only eat 1/2 to 1 cup at each meal. it does seem to fill me, i just get hungry about 3 to 4 hours later.
  23. Boy, i was just complaining on another thread about how i didn't lose any weight this week. man, i really feel stupid i'm lucky no proplems as of yet. I am so so sorry to hear of your trouble and so very glad your better. May the rest of your recovery be as smooth as ice.
  24. Well, today is sat., my scale day. No gain NO LOSS this week I know no gain is good but no loss really bites. I thought i was ready for this but it's still depressing, i've been doing exactly what i'm supposed to. hope i have better luck next week. :cool2::thumbup::tt2::w00t::thumbup:
  25. orea, great updated pic. you already look like a new person.
