  1. Started the process on 12/29/2016 went super quick. Could have surgery a week sooner in March but I did it the following week because of work. Follow exactly what nuts say Seminar 12/27/16: wt 304 Surgery 3/23: wt 287 3 months post op : 236 5 months post op: 208

  4. I'm almost 6 months out from RNY and literally so happy I made this decision. I'm 25 and my parents had said the same thing. They love me but elective surgery is a scary thing for a parent to support for their child. When I told the chances of me losing in my own and keeping it off after a lifting of obesity they were still skeptical. Now my parents are 100% supportive The drinking part or not drinking part is hard socially. My friend had the surgery and drank about 8 months out, she just gets completely **** faced after one glass of wine and her drink choices changed. It's suppose to be one year with out alcohol, if you can't do that you might want to think about your life. It's weird socially eating out / drinking at first but you'll fall into a routine Seminar 12/27/16: wt 304 Surgery 3/23: wt 287 3 months post op : 236

Okay so we all know exercise is great and recommended but I have a friend who got surgery, worked her ass off with a personal trainer and has lost the same amount as her roommate who has not done anymore then walking. hello

I'm actually 8 weeks today! I feel great! I am down 36 lbs and 54 total since I started the process. I wasn't sure which one I wanted either so after my research I took the advice the nut and surgeon because they have seen thousands and thousands and I figured they knew what was best . The fatigue is real after the surgery for about 6 weeks but gets better. Seminar 12/27/16: wt 304 Surgery 3/23: wt 287 6 weeks post op 252.4

  13. I told my parents and my closest sibling, and several of my best friends a few months before surgery and then my other 6 siblings and friends a week before surgery. I'm 7 weeks out and some coworkers know. I'm not hiding it from anyone, if it comes up I'll tell because I stand by my decision but I'm also not advertising it Seminar 12/27/16: wt 304 Surgery 3/23: wt 287 6 weeks post op 252.4
  14. I have hit three weeks out on Thursday and all I do is sleep. Any days I get 9,000 steps plus I either need a long nap that day or sleep the next day way too much, miss my fluids and meals because I'm like coma sleeping. How long does the fatigue last? 15. So yesterday at work I had a yogurt around nine or ten, The triple zero Kind and got busy working on a project. I noticed while talking to my friend and I messed up her boyfriends name three times in a conversation and I was just very scatterbrained. I was reloading binders and my hands are shaky so I got a protein water and drank almost all of it and kept working. Around 2 o'clock I realized I was really hungry and so I drink a protein drink mixed in one cup skim milk. I still felt really awful and try to work while drinking it but kept making mistakes. I decided that my sugar might be low so I drove to Walmart and bought a BG meter and got back to the office and my glucose was 78. Around 438 a no sugar added applesauce andwent to an appointment. Got home at 7:30 took my BG and it was 61. This morning I woke up and felt fine and had a yogurt applesauce and a I so pure throughout the dayand when I got homecheck my sugar and it was 80. Around nine well I was making egg whites I checked my sugar again because I had a headache and it was 60. Should I be concerned or just need to eat more often? Where should my numbers be after I eat and how often should I test. Thursday I will be five weeks out and down about 25 pounds I have not lost anything this week Seminar 12/27/16: wt 304 Surgery 3/23: wt 287 3 week post: 266.4

  18. It sounds like you might not be ready for the surgery. I know before my surgery and pre op diet I had a bunch of "last suppers" where I had all the foods I wanted. After a few meals though I didn't want anything else because the surgery and becoming healthy was more important to me so I started my pre op diet early and lost 17 lbs. The surgery doesn't fix determination and self control that's still on you. If you can't get a grip on your self before maybe you should push your surgery back until you can. 21. I have been trying to be diligent getting in my three 1/2 cup purée meals and 2 protein drinks however I have been missing about 1 meal and 1 protein drink because anything I put in my stomach in the morning hurts! I take my meds and have water and then the pain usually deters me until about 11. I am getting between 300-400 calories a day and when I eat all I'm supposed to be it's around 500-600 (is this too much 2 weeks post op)

    Disgusted

You seem to know a lot yet haven't had your surgery. Not saying I disagree with what you said but you were quite callous in how you said it. It seems like you have a lot of hatred towards those that are struggling or you feel felt the surgery was a quick fix. If I would have to guess you are facing judgement or stigma somewhere in your life about your decision to get surgery and are projecting here.
