  1. I have heard after you get your new tummy that you don't need much to feel a buzz. I am curious what ha been your limit? What did you drink? I'm 6 weeks Post op and would love a glass of wine. Don't judge me please, we're all adults lol I've been very good with holding down food and getting liquids in. I've never had any issues. Thank you!
  2. I eat one or two bites of the pizza and finish the toppings only. I'm 4 weeks Post op and I've only ate pizza once. I've been making my own instead using a tortilla instead and putting it in the pan to cook.
  3. This is TMI I've always been on the heavier side of my periods and they would last 7-10days I'm experiencing my first menstrual and it's totally different. I'm barely cramping and I'm very light. I'm on day 4 and it's super light still. What has been your experience? Does it change? Should I worry? Is this normal?
  4. Thanks for your encouraging words... Things seem to be heading down hill. My husband is under a lot of stress from family problems and as well as me. I feel great about getting the surgery and only regret him not being supportive. I've told him numerous times the liquid diet and purée stage is only temporary. He hates seeing me eat that way I guess because he feels bad I'm like I'm suffering. I put on a smile and I knock out each day doing my best. Today wasn't a good day and I'm looking forward to waking to see my kids faces smile and laugh. I've been doing a lot of walking to help clear my mind and get out the house. It's hard when you don't have friends and no one near to talk too. But anyways I thank you for your support.
  5. Right when you wake up you take 1-2 capsules Then between 20-40 minutes you think the lifestyle mix/protein drink And right after you put on a dft patch which stands for dermal fusion technology. Which gives your body 24 hours of vitamins and minerals and the next day you do the same but instead take off the previous patch and place a new somewhere on a new muscle.
  6. I'm in stage 3 puréed foods and nothing like having baby food lol
  7. I was suppose to be on mine as well and did bring it up to my surgeon. She said it happens but not too worry. They just cover the bed with the changing pads. Also to not wear tampons to avoid forgetting about it. Bring pads and change of clothes. I ended up starting 2 days before I was suppose to start which made me end 2 days before surgery I was so happy! I haven't had any abnormal bleeding either, I'm also not on any birth control if that matters.
  8. Wishing you a speedy recovery!
  9. I know my calorie is already low but in a few days I had lost 6 pounds and in one weeks I lost 12lbs. Now it's been another week and I haven't lost a single pound. I'm even more active now that I'm healing good. Is this normal stalls? Should I be concerned? What was your first couple of weeks like?
  10. Take it one day at a time, I know exactly how you are feeling. I actually didn't tell anyone I was having surgery which was my choice but when it came time to reach out because of the decision I made the only person I could run too was God. He has definitely comforted me and reminded me to be patient during this journey. I'm here whenever you want to talk and help support each other. I know this app has definitely helped in so many ways reading and asking questions.
  11. Since writing this and actually last night I took the steri strips off. The Incisions look amazing and the dent is going away. I think it was the swelling inside, it's looking like a regular ol belly lol
  12. I had surgery last week and I've been to see what others thought about this. I have 7 Incisions!!!!! 2 are still painful, my surgeon said everything went well. I've had a smooth recovery, but why 7? One looks like a dent in my tummy, which I notice no one else has. It's like someone took a chuck right out of my tummy.
  13. I had the Sleeve done exactly one week ago today. I have not told too many people except about My husband, my mom, mother in law, 2 friends who both had Sleeve surgery too. My father in law knows I had surgery but nothing more. Well I find it a little easier to just keep it all to myself. It's no ones business and I don't the side eye and "oh she took the easy way out" etc We all know this journey is far from easy. I started my weight loss journey in August and was able to knock off almost 30 lbs myself. Since I am very active on social media, I try to post little things here and there about my weight loss so when I do see family and friends in person it won't be too big of a shock. I still have a little pain but overall I'm doing great with the fluid intake etc. My advice is definitely reach out in this app or any groups for support. I've had my moments like I needed someone to help me.
  14. Congratulations! I myself just got home almost a week ago now. Did exactly as you and had as many kids as you lol Everything will go will! Just stay on top of the fluid intake and pain meds.
  15. How many weeks/months were you when you started thriving again? I am 5 Days Post op and my surgeon doesn't want me to take any supplements until I'm 2 weeks Post op and I see her. Although I can have protein shakes... I don't know if doing it now is a good idea.
  16. Pre op I was able to lose 25 lbs and doing that proved that I can lose weight. But I told him it's a yo yo effect. For 5 years I go up and down 50 lbs and can never get where I want. He doesn't like the idea of surgery possibly scared something would happen. He definitely didn't like me overweight, before we had kids I was a healthy 215lbs and as years came and more kids came I was always 300lbs I wasn't happy with myself and now I'm ready to take control of something I have battled all my life my weight. I'm very happy today... I'm literally 10 pounds from my pregnancy weight from my very first child which was 10 years ago! Continue to pray for me, my marriage and health. Today my husband seemed a little more at ease. Which is comforting, he wanted to watch a movie after dinner and cuddle.
  17. I wasn't told this, and I actually had my nails done a few days before. I even got tons of compliments from the nurses about the hot pink. Fuchsia I picked. My oxygen levels were 100% and they didn't have any issues.
  18. Well I just had the Sleeve a few days ago and my decision was based on my preference and also what would work with my body. I was anemic and with the other surgeries Available iron supplements would not be well absorbed.
  19. Everything has been a smooth process From when I had my surgery to the hospital stay to now home I'm trying my hardest to get the 48-64 ounces in everyday. Today I wanted to test my limits to see how much I can sip. 2 ounces was okay every 15-30 minutes But as I'm sitting here sipping my beef broth I measured out 8 ounces and have gotten every spoonful down. My mind and tummy were hungry too It's very weird to adjust to what your mind is saying and what your tummy wants. Anyone else just have surgery, how are you doing on liquids????? Also one incision is hurting still and it's the only one that makes my abdomen look like a chuck of skin is missing. I am not enjoying the food of that. Will that change???? How are your incisions???
  20. I thought my husband would be okay, even though he expressed to me he didn't want me to have the surgery. He has been distance and is upset with me. I've tried talking to him but that doesn't do anything. I don't know if he will get over it or if this is the beginning of forever. We have 4 kids and it's hard , resting doesn't even seem like an option. My husband works all day so I'm home. No one lives near us and I even kept this surgery a secret. I can't rewind time I need prayer I need help This is definitely a roller coaster of emotions. Everything happens for a reason...
  21. I definitely overpacked, All I used was my robe, slippers, phone and headphones. Toothpaste and toothbrush. I was commando lol the 3 days I was there. What I wore there is what I wore home. Everything happens for a reason...
  22. NewMe17 thrive is amazing! 3 steps you take Capsules in the a.m. Lifestyle mix Then a dft which is vitamins and nutrients all day. Energy that is amazing with no crashing Everything happens for a reason...
  23. Brather do you open the capsules? Do you take one or two capsules? Everything happens for a reason...
  24. My doctor said it is normal to have menstral like bleeding afterwards. But when I had the mirena my body couldn't except and I bleed the whole Time I had it. Everything happens for a reason...
