Is it possible to sip too much water during the liquid phase immediately post-op? I am able to easily sip 64oz or more in a day. Is this normal? I am worried about hurting my stomach with too much liquid. I have always been a huge water drinker, often having over 100oz per day regularly. I flew in on Friday morning, was in surgery by 1pm. I think I was up walking for the first time at around 6 pm, but with a lot of gas pain. Next day I was a bit better...Was able to shower, dress, walk and sip liquids with no real issues. I stayed two nights in the hospital then went to the hotel for two nights. I was able to walk for many hours each day at that point. The valet took us all over to shop and a couple nice places to eat. We were very active just three days after surgery. I flew home Tuesday and have been pretty much my normal self. I would say 4 days off is enough. Sent from my SM-G900T using BariatricPal mobile app

I also had Dr Illan and am 6 days post op. I had 5 incisions, though one was very small. I have dissolvable stitches under the skin also...Some ends do poke out. Btw...Dr Illan and team were great! I just got home two days ago and feel awesome. Sent from my SM-G900T using BariatricPal mobile app

Just had surgery on 4/21 with Dr Illan at Oasis of Hope Hospital and everything went great. I was in and done so quickly. Each step of the way was like clockwork. I was a little dizzy and nauseated after surgery, with some gas pains, which did eventually passed with walking and moving after a day or so. I'm feeling pretty good today. I was up and showered this morning by myself, got my makeup and clothes on... Ready to go to the hotel for the two nights before heading home. It feels great to be post-op!

I am on day four of my pre op liquid diet. I decided to lower my carbs to about 25 net carbs to curb hunger and it is really working out well. Getting through Easter at the in-laws was hard but it was more head hunger than stomach growing hunger. A few days before my liquid diet I lowered my carbs with the food I was eating so I was already in ketosis at the start of the liquid diet. I really think this is helping me because I woke up today with no hunger at all. I am doing just pureed vegetable and chicken soup, shakes, broth and jello. Well wishes to you!

I just tried to PM you but I don't think it went through... I just wanted to say hi since we both have the same date! I am with Dr Illan, but also at Oasis Hospital, so we may meet...Not sure. I just wanted to see how you are doing? Dr gave me a one week liquid diet to follow...Almost time! I am getting a bit nervous, but so excited!

Did they end up getting back to you for approval? I only submitted my health questionnaire yesterday but I also want to have surgery in April. The sooner I know, the sooner I can book my plane tickets. I guess I better stop checking my email every hour...Sounds like it might be a little while. I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas! ?

Hello Bill. I don't have a date scheduled yet but I am pretty sure I want to go with Dr. Illan. Neither my husband or I have a passport. Are you saying we really don't need one at all? What ID would we need in addition to the letter?
