Thanks. I feel like a whole new person. Also has anyone else had degradation of their eyesight? I now have to wear glasses for reading an computer use. Which is pretty much all the time with my job.

    August Sleevers-How are you doing??

HW 280 SW 270 CW 203 I've been in a 5 month stall gaining and losing the same 3 lbs. I joke and tell everyone I've lost 50 pounds since January...but it's been the same 3 lbs over and over and over. Surgery was 14 Aug 2017. I've started back on my walking weekday morning. I'm up to over 3 miles. Try to get it done before the sun comes up and makes it 500 degrees in South Texas.
  3. So I had surgery on Aug 14th 2017. I started this journey at 279 and had surgery at 269. I currently weigh 208 with a ultimate goal of 190. My problem is my wife and everyone I meet tells me that I shouldn't lose anymore weight as I would look too skinny.. I see all of my body's flaws. I'm not sure how I should proceed...do I keep going knowing that I will probably never be satisfied with my weight loss or just start trying to enter maintenance mode 40 pounds before I originally planned?

    Frustrated in Texas

Thanks everyone ,I think I will continue on with my goal of 170 that the Dr gave me. He said once I get there I will add back some weight and that will put me right where I want to be. I spent 24 years in the Coast Guard and the Coast Guard Reserve. Dreading the weigh ins,. Now I would have no issue with the weigh in as I am below the screening weight!! I need to update my profile picture as that was a while ago.. What's funny is I tell everyone I've lost 200 lbs, only that 130 of it is the same two pounds over and over...cursed stalls.

    Any August 2017 Sleevers?

Well Monday will he two weeks since surgery. I am currently on full liquids and doing well with it. I still get small bouts of discomfort that are not painful and only lasts a few seconds. I am down 19lbs from surgery and 29 lbs over all. 30% of my goal!! Sent from my ONEPLUS A5000 using BariatricPal mobile app

    Any August 2017 Sleevers?

Well my surgery went well, the recovery has been tough. Since I'm prob to nausea they have been giving me anti-nausea meds. Two bouts of vomiting which nothing came up. They considered keeping me one more night, but decided to let me go home. The gas pain was real but walking helped a great bit. Sent from my ONEPLUS A5000 using BariatricPal mobile app

    Any August 2017 Sleevers?

Thanks. My wife has told me that I won't get much rest in the hospital as I will be walking most of the time. It's pretty exciting to conclude the 7 month journey to get to this point. Excited to start the next adventure.

    Any August 2017 Sleevers?

I'm scheduled for surgery tomorrow. Check in is at 11:20. I was lucky and didn't have to start a liquid diet until today. So far it's G2G and chicken broth. Good vibes to all.

    Any August 2017 Sleevers?

My nut and surgeon told me for the first week I can have some regular Gatorade as the bacteria in my gut will need some carbs to feed on to remain healthy as other food would be limited. But only the first week. I guess it all depends on your surgeon and nutritionist.

    Any August 2017 Sleevers?

Well I am now scheduled for surgery on the 14th with preop on the 11th. I am currently offshore on an inspection which is supposed to be completed on Wed which gives me 1 day to get home...now the there has been delays, delays, and more delays. They are now talking about this going on into the following week. I keep telling them I have to be on the beach on the 10th. Luckily we have another inspector with us that can cover the job...but it is pretty nerve racking with all the delays.

    August Sleevers ?!

I'm set for Aug 21st. Insurance took just over 2 weeks. When I called at the 2 week time frame they said it was taking ba bit longer because there was a holiday in that 2 weeks. Preop appointment is Aug 11. No diet before hand just the day before. Sent from my ONEPLUS A5000 using BariatricPal mobile app

HELP! BCBS 6 Month Nutrition Requirement

I also have BCBS TX and will be done with Month 5 next week. My doctors office will submit the insurance once the 6th visit is complete. They say once the insurance approves (which could take up to 30 days) then we can schedule surgery. They are currently scheduling through August which means even once I complete my 6 months it could be an additional 3 months before I ever have the surgery. Talk about frustrating. Insurance Approval

At my 4th appointment I had gained 3lbs from the 3rd appointment. You would have thought I kicked her kitten. I got a lecture and the "so disappointed" talk and she is making me come in again in 2 weeks for an additional visit to make sure I am mentally ready to start a new life style diet. [emoji42]. Or maybe she has a crush on me who knows. I did go ahead and schedule both my 5th and 6th appointments so hopefully early July will be submitting to insurance and fingers crossed, surgery a short time after. Looking like no food funerals for me. [emoji26] Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using BariatricPal mobile app

    Future Shirt Size

Thanks for sharing your chart data. I will have to plot out my course of shirt sizes..and have to let work know when I need more and smaller coveralls.
  25. So I should be completed with my 6 month requirement in July and HOPE to have surgery either in July or August. I told them first available, I ain't playing around. So here is my problem..I want to register for the Santa Hustle 5K early because because it is cheapest to do it now, and they want to know what size shirt I want...I told them i would LOVE a medium but I think that would be a bit too ambitious considering I am a 2XL now. I did tell them an XL and they told me if I need to change the size I can swap it out at packet pick up. If anyone is going to be in Galveston TX around DEC 11, its a great time.
